Went there Friday nite with another couple...us girls got fish...delish....the guys both got ribeyes the 10 oz....they were both terrible...either of the two ate them...they both they said tasted old....for 17$ they should be decent....everything else was good....service was great
I had broiled lemon pepper catfish, fried jumbo shrimp, cheese grits and coleslaw. The entrees and side dishes were cooked to perfection and delicious. My server was attentive and friendly. Very fast service. Excellent dining experience at a fair price. I'll definitely be back.
So I think the customer service was good, but it wasn't packed either. Food wise it deal seem as the fish was cooked in used grease which is a problem as long as the customer can't tell. I had the Catfish, Jumbo fried prawns, Okra and baked beans. All for 17.99 (and I got two pieces of whole catfish). Overall it didn't give me chills, but I enjoyed it.
No crowd and priced fair. Service is great and the food is too. Great Cole slaw, fish fried perfect. Fried green tomatoes on point. Leave the crowd of the beach and ease on here, wonderful place.
This is my second and last visit to this place. The hostess/servers were nice but too busy propping up their smartphone taking self-portraits at the hostess stand to help us. I picked up the food and drove a few miles back to the house. Food was lukewarm, but I cannot say much, I did take it to go. The cheese grits were less than edible, it was like eating flavorless paste, trashed them. Ok now to the catfish was not fully cooked. Trashed it. Maybe the loaded potato would be good. Opened the small clamshell container to find a potato about the side of a large egg, Mabey a little bit bigger but not much. Ate it in a minute. It was good but we ended up going to the place with a barrel on the sign for a good meal once I clean off the counter. I would highly avoid this place. If I were the manager, I would resign, because you clearly cannot manage a restaurant.
Employees were nice… food was prepared quickly, but, baked potato and shrimp in both dishes were cold. I live 3 minutes from restaurant… soo should have still be at least warm. ?
I was surprised to find out that David's no longer served one of my favorites, the baked Sweet potato. Also they were out of lemon, something I really enjoy with my seafood. Our server couldn't have been nicer or more attentive, but it is disconcerting to be told multiple times that what you are asking for isn't available. When I jokingly remarked that I was going to speak with the owner about running out of toothpicks. I was told it had recently been purchased by a Texas investor, that wasn't around as the previous owner had been. The difference is obvious, so sad.
Everything was GREAT! FOOD and SERVICE! I was here for vacation and wish we had one in Arkansas.
We had a great time there for my moms birthday!!
Great Customer Service, I had the all you can eat catfish which came with 2 sides and hush puppies. All of that I ate was more than great!
This place is a great place to eat fresh seafood. They have a lot on the menu and what I had was so yummy ? The catfish didn't have that musky taste either. Every thing was delicious and I'm going back for second round soon. They are very people friendly too. Thanks David and employees for making my first visit a great visit ?
We are very happy to eat here. The catfish is fresh and fried perfectly. The fried green tomatoes appetizer is the best we have ever had! Thursday is their shrimp special, which is excellent!
Disappointed in the food. Thin fried dill pickles that were way too salty. 1/8th inch thick steak that costs $24. Won't be returning.
Nothing fancy but well prepared seafood. Good service. Shrimp and grits are best I have had. Fresh catfish.
