Remove the partisan stuff. Nobody likes a traitor supporting restaurants.

This was my first time at Desi's. My folks are regulars and talked it up. The restaurant has a large dining room with a 50s look soda counter. Buffet style with lots of choices and a salad bar. I enjoyed meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy, Lima beans and black eyed peas. The food was excellent especially the meatloaf! Service is hit or miss at buffets but this was exceptional today. I ordered coffee and Desi brought two cups when needed. The dessert bar had many good choices including bread pudding, peach cobbler and more. I will try one next time after being full from lunch.

Classic southern food. Easily the best mac and cheese I've ever had. Deserts are also absolutely astounding.

Don't let the line scare you when you get there; it moves quick and everyone is extremely polite.

The best buffet in NW Florida! Not just Okaloosa county. They have a delicious variety of fresh, homemade country vegetables and it changes every day. Higly recommend and it is reasonably priced.

Recommended dishes: Salad, Mullet, Ribs, Mac and Cheese, Meatloaf, Creamed Corn, Fried Cat Fish

Fantastic southern buffet. Plenty of options all full of flavor. The best country style buffet I have tried. The staff were friendly and polite. The food is actually seasoned and has flavor. The price is fair. Makes a great lunch spot. You can easily eat enough to ruin yourself for the day with how good it is.

Just visiting Crestview for the day and a few people told us to eat here. However, when we arrived, it was unclear whether we should seat ourselves, if we should pay before we got our food, or pretty much how this place worked. I was immediately disappointed and stunned to see that this place uses styrofoam plates and plastic straws. They are not even trying. My friend couldn’t believe there was no fried chicken on the buffet. Guess we showed up on the wrong day. I asked for a wing from the baked chicken. There were none, so they gave me a neck. A neck? Who would even serve that to a customer? It had a little bit of breast meat on it, so I ate that. I could have asked for another piece, but would have had to stand in a long line and let my other food get cold. Every selection was bland, heavy on sauces and gravies, and tasted like the cheapest cuts of everything. And it was almost $20! I wouldn’t even consider the salad bar—it looked like it had been picked over, only a few items to put on your salad (nothing that I liked), and the “dessert bar” was so bland as to be laughable. Just an awful experience with the food—the service was good, however. Just too bad the food was so boring.
