Shocked. We were invited to dinner by a friend building in Big Pine Key on our road. We are vegan, he is not. We were trying to decide which vegan friendly restaurant in Key West we would go to. He asked if we'd ever been to Broil on Cudgoe Key. We laughed and said unless they have a real chef they won't have anything we would eat since most restaurants don't make their own food. He said to call them. Laughing I did, and Lola, the nicest person, answered the phone....

My son had the Beef Wellington, and it was pure divinity. I had the petite bacon wrapped filet, and it was perfect! The house-made Roquefort blue cheese dressing is literally the best I've ever had. The service was wonderful: friendly and professional. I can't praise this place enough! It's pricey, of course, but worth EVERY penny!

My husband and I went here for our wedding anniversary while we were on vacation. Food was pretty good, until a big bug came crawling across the table and onto my plate. I stood up from the table and a waitress walked by, saw the bug, scooped it up with her bare hand and just kept walking like nothing had happened. No apologies, no offer for a fresh plate. Nothing. When we told our waitress what had happened, she just nonchalantly said that they have a problem with those bugs...
