Rhonda was a great help with explaining the new items. Nestor was very entertaining and also helped me get a Kumquat pie to take home. Great experience all around. Love this place!

Destination is delightful. Our waitress Katie was very good. We enjoyed her so much. My shrimp scampi was a bit disappointing. It did not have a chef's touch. Quite bland and uninteresting. Would suggest some fresh basil, more garlic, toasted pine nuts and fresh Parmesan. We will be back, but I will not order shrimp scampi again.

The place was nice and had a good vibe, drinks very good, appetizers were delicious but main course I got the lobster vodka sauce pasta was ok the sauce was good but overpowering, overall was good time.

The food was delicious. Seriously good. Our waiter, Mike, was fabulous. He was attentive, funny and very good at his job. We were all very happy with this dining experience! It's always this way at Kafe Kokopelli.

Food was delicious. Service was fair. My drink took a little bit longer than anticipated and my server brought me the wrong dish but the meal was still delicious. We will give it another shot

Such a unique atmosphere! And so historical, used to be where Ford Model Ts were sold. Corn beef hash was so fresh and such high quality!! The peppadew puree was so original.

We dined at Kafe Kokopelli several years ago and loved everything about it. I was excited that we had an opportunity to return a few days ago. The decor is still lovely and Olivia, our server, did a fine job.

The food, however, had entirely too much garlic. I had the crab soup and beef stroganoff. Both had so much garlic that it overshadowed everything else in the dishes. Most of my meal was left uneaten. The same was true for the potatoes my husband ordered. Our server replaced them with fries though and they were delicious.

Lastly, we had the goat cheesecake and it was the star of the meal. I remembered it from our previous visit and it was outstanding!

We decided to celebrate our 5-year anniversary at Kafe Kokopelli, and honestly, it felt like the universe knew we were up for a (romantic) good time and a (delicious) food coma. Nestled in a lovingly restored 1916 Ford Motor Company building — yes, originally a Model-T sales and service center — this place has more history than my dad’s vinyl collection.

From the moment we walked in, we knew this wasn’t your average dinner date — it was a full experience.

But the real MVP of the night? Our server — Boyce. If there were a Nobel Prize for Restaurant Service, Boyce would have at least three by now. Attentive? Absolutely. Informative? Like a walking foodie Wikipedia. Friendly? As if he’d been our neighbor for years. Funny? Let’s say we laughed more in those two hours than we have at most family reunions (without the awkward small talk). And nice? If niceness was a Michelin star, he’d have five.

Before our food even arrived, Boyce casually weaved in the history of the building — “That brick? Probably saw a Model-T roll out of here once.” — making us feel cultured and slightly like we should be wearing berets.

The Food

Let’s talk food — the veal Parmesan deserves its own standing ovation. Tender, perfectly sauced, and so good it almost made me temporarily forget I was on a date with my wife (don’t worry, I recovered). And the Cajun pasta? It had just enough spice to make us question our life choices in the best way possible. Rumor has it if you listen closely, you can hear angels twirling their forks.

Dessert: The Bananas Foster Show

Just when we thought we’d peaked, Boyce brought the tableside bananas foster. Watching him work that flaming dessert like he was hosting his own cooking show — flame here, flipped there — was a highlight of the evening. Forget fireworks — Boyce’s dessert theatrics was the real light show. (And it tasted amazing, too.)

In short, if you want great food, a charming atmosphere, and a server who could probably negotiate world peace while pouring wine — go here.

We keep coming back for the atmosphere and the alligator bites. My husband says their coffee is really good.
