It was okay, nothing to write home about. I'm from the South and grew up eating homemade Southern food. This seemed more like a restaurant created by someone who isn't from the South but took some of the recipes and did their best with them. The food was under seasoned and way overpriced, you're mostly paying for the atmosphere here. I was correct in my assumption that it seemed like a tourist trap. Great little restaurant, I’ve heard about it and happened upon it while in the Downtown area. This is a little trip back in time in my opinion. The kitchen is open to the restaurant and small but they seem to crank out the dishes just fine. There is a shopping section with cool tourists stuff and I believe a bar was being set up inside for drinks as well.
A must-visit if you are in the Dade City area.
