This was an expensive stay and breakfast wasn't even included. You have to wait a long time for the elevators. Everything else was fine, but overpriced!!

I recently stayed at the Marriott Courtyard in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and while there were some positives, there were also a few drawbacks worth noting.
First, the location is not particularly walkable. The nearest mall is an 8-minute Uber ride away, which may be inconvenient for those expecting more local amenities within walking distance. However, the staff at the hotel were pleasant and welcoming, which helped make the stay more enjoyable.
In terms of the room, it was generally comfortable, though I did experience a minor issue with the coffee machine—it wasn’t working during my stay. Additionally, I found a random water bottle with a $6 price tag sitting in the room, which felt a bit off-putting. It’s not something I would expect to find just lying around.
Breakfast is not complimentary, and while I was able to grab a bagel, it came at a steep price of $7, making it the cheapest option on the menu. I was surprised at the markup, but I guess it was a popular choice since it was the least expensive option. The coffee, on the other hand, was fine.
One thing I would recommend is using an Uber to get to the cruise port, as it’s a more convenient and reliable option.
Overall, the hotel was decent but didn’t exceed expectations, especially when considering the pricing for basic amenities. If you’re looking for something more convenient or with complimentary breakfast, you might want to explore other options.

Nice hotel..stayed for the Taylor Swift concert and they had a friendship bracelet making station and big banner for the Taylor Swift concert. Very cute touch.

I've stayed here 1/2 dozen times, pre-cruise, but this time was disappointing...hotel under renovation (no warnings about this when making reservations). Took out lobby computers ("go to Hilton, they'll let you use their computer there"). Posted: Breakfast 0630 on sign. 6:50 STILL no breakfast, just coffee, yoghurts, cereals. Noisy doors on guestrooms SLAMMING all night by inconsiderate guests (frankly doors need closing springs to negate this). Last time stayed here, it was $125/nt (5 months ago) now $215/nt. At least still free parking, and no "resort" charge. Unfortunately, parking lot for hotel guests is predominantly now long-term for airport pickups or cruisers. Overflow lot full of construction materiels. Staff friendly enough.

Internet is slow and constantly disconnects, elevators are slow, building is really old and it’s in a completely isolated unwalkable business district with the only thing nearby being a bass pro shop.

No running hot water in the shower at all. No good food options at the hotel. Nothing to do within walking distance of the hotel, we walked for 2 miles around looking for something to do and all that was around was just fishing shops.
Pool and fitness room were DISGUSTING, smelled horrible in the fitness room.
Hotel had claimed when we booked that there was free transportation to the cruise port from the hotel which was not true it was $20 a person, we ended up taking a Lyft which was half the price.
Driver for the shuttle from the airport to the hotel was extremely rude.
Beds were comfy, staff at the front desk were kind and views were good which is the only reason why this didn’t get a one star review. Will not ever stay at this hotel again.
Nearby activities: Literally nothing in walking distance to do

Wifi was broken for the several days I stayed there. The hotel is right next to a train station so there is regular loud honking all the time. Parts of the hotel like the elevators are obviously poorly maintained and slow. Would not recommend staying here.

The bed feels like you are sleeping on a plank. Not comfortable. The "blankets" were sheets. The room itself was clean and nice. The breakfast was very expensive for what it was. $7 for a muffin? $7.5 for a Starbucks drink? Although it was advertised on the menu as being Starbucks, the quality did not match the quality you would get actually going to a Starbucks store. Overall, not super impressed considering the amount paid for one night stay. Will try out a different hotel chains in the future..

After a long work day they did not have our rooms ready for us when we arrived. We were told 20-30 minutes but waited longer than that

Wow, I am super happy that my other hotel fell through. This is wonderful, new accommodations but what was even better was the great and caring and considerate service that the employees had for us. We will always choose to stay here if in the area. Sold on Marriott's totally. The room was huge with a kitchen nice big working desk couch awesome bed and huge bathroom and shower. There are other hotels that maybe cheaper but this it is totally worth it for the extra you might pay

The pick up process from the airport was great. Everything else was just OK. The room was clean though their pillows are garbage. It also seems as if their staff here have no idea what they are doing. Takes 15 minutes in a breakfast line to get a regular cup of coffee, and then god forbid you forget something to eat, well that’s another 15 minutes.
