Fort Lauderdale Improv is such a great spot for a fun night out. The comedians always bring real laughs, the energy in the room is amazing, and the whole experience feels effortless and entertaining from start to finish. Whether it’s big-name acts or up-and-coming comics, the shows never disappoint. The venue is clean and comfortable, the staff is organized and friendly, and the food and drinks come out quick. The seating gives you a good view no matter where you are, and the vibe is perfect for date nights, birthdays, or just a night where you want to laugh until your stomach hurts.

Tremendous. A club show over a stadium show any day of the week.

Went to the late Friday Night show and was blown away by the well oiled machine of how this place operates. The wait to get in was minimal, the staff efficient and the process reasonable for a 2 drink minimum. Acoustics were phenomenal and the manager was top notch. Definitely recommended going to see a show here!

The comedy show itself was great and the venue looks nice, but the pricing and billing practices were extremely frustrating and honestly felt predatory.

First, there’s an 18% automatic gratuity that isn’t clearly communicated. On top of that, you’re required to buy two menu items, which is fine in theory, but one of mine was a mocktail with no price listed anywhere. Turns out the drink was about $15 for a 6 oz glass of juice, and the refill I was offered (which I assumed was free) was another $15. For comparison, my friend got the alcoholic version and it was only a couple dollars more, which is insane.

Then, you’re required to pay for your food in the middle of the show, with a server standing over you holding a payment tablet. Because I didn’t realize gratuity was already added, I tipped again and ended up paying around a 25% tip on mediocre food, overpriced drinks, and mid service. The venue was so tightly packed that I had to move multiple times during the show as servers walked around.

In the end I spent about $240 for tickets, food, drinks, and tips for two people and the majority of that was just the meal.

The comedy was great, but the pricing felt misleading, and the drink situation especially was ridiculous. If you go, be ready for high prices, automatic gratuity, and to decline refills unless you want another $15 cup of juice.
