I went today because the first time the food I ordered was on point, I went back for this particular roll that was a play on a California roll( Kanisu) I ordered again today and they sent out something different so I asked and the answer was that they had a new chef. They didn’t offer to exchange it or take it off the bill. I personally won’t be going back and by the look of things in the restaurant I’m not the only one.

Mayaki is a cute little restaurant with an extensive menu full of a variety of different foods for everyone to enjoy. I've been to a few izakayas and this one definitely shows the hard work that the staff put into it.The food was incredible, and the proportions were huge. I underestimated how much food we would actually receive but was quickly humbled once the food came. The food was amazing, between the presentation and the taste this place has definitely mastered the art of the hand roll, nigiri, and ramen.Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely be coming back to try more of their menu.

Sorry but I did not like it. The food wasn’t that good. Friendly service but that’s it. Not a good menu or options for toddlers- kids.

We have been waiting over a year for this place to open and it did not disappoint.Very quiet and cozy inside. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The food was exactly what I want from an Izakaya. We tried the chashu bao, the pork donburi (rice bowl), Tori Paitan (chicken broth ramen), a dragon roll, and a matcha latte with boba.I really have nothing bad to say.The Donburi was flawless. Seasoned properly, plenty of pork and sauce to cover the rice, and perfectly sweet and savory. They use the same pork for their bao and it’s a pillowy sweet bite that I will absolutely return for.The sushi tastes as good as it looks. Clearly hand crafted, the ingredients are high quality, and I was blown away by this little corner restaurant in Davenport serving the best sushi I’ve had in this city.Parking: This is a plaza that has constant traffic, and may be difficult to find parking for dinner.

I had very high hopes for this new restaurant to our area. Although the sushi is better than anywhere close to this proximity the sushi and food was mediocre. Still nice to have something new in. Service was good. Very friendly staff! Cool vibe.

Food and ambiance are amazing. Wood carpentry everywhere. Food is second to none to any of the Orlando sushi/ramen spots. Highly recommend!

Love this place. The sushi rolls are generous and of good quality. Unlike other Japanese restaurants in the area, the sashimi is cooked to perfection and delicious. Will come back again.

This is a new restaurant still in their soft opening. As such, we expected to have slow service. However, my two star review comes from the fact that I ordered a sushi roll, and it had to get sent back not once but twice for having a long black hair in it. For this reason, I’m hesitant to return and order any of their

Great food! New place that's very welcome and much needed in what is a rather anemic food scene in that area. Decor is well done too. Give it a try! Will certainly go back!

We all enjoyed our food! It is a beautiful restaurant and the servers were welcoming. The food was delicious we ate everything! I guess my only feedback is everything was brought out separately and not all together. I hope they do well, a much needed restaurant for the area!Parking: Tons of spacesKid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. I really liked the menu they had for them. My 3 year old loved the food.

Best izakaya in town, and also your town! Fight me!Discovered this place had finally opened while on a trip to get gas and immediately needed to check it out. Worth it? Totally!Let's talk options: this place has them.. lots of them (and at this time it's only soft opening!). Options range from small plates featuring karaage, baos (steamed buns), okonomiyaki, and takoyaki (allegedly... they were sold out tonight, but I can forgive that) to ramen, curry and skewers. At this point you may be wondering if anything is worthwhile and I assure you that EVERYthing is worthwhile; seriously. everything.Add in the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff and I am happy to say I have found a place that I plan to visit regularly going forward.11/10 would get sidetracked while out for gas again.Update: sushi is a thing now and it is GREAT! Would recommend the Ika Crunch roll. Also, yes, the yakisoba IS currently on the kids menu, but yakisoba is wonderful and their yakisoba is double wonderful, so once again: Fight me! Seriously though, the chashu pork yakisoba with a side of Kewpie mayo just blew away the bad feeling of having to sit 2 hours in traffic to get here. 11/10 rating stands!
