Daytona Diner

Well I have to be “that guy” and post a bad experience today. First off we dined during lunchtime so I think they are possibly better at breakfast. We had a 30 minute wait when we first arrived. After waiting for 20 minutes we noticed nobody was leaving. Overall we waited about 40 minutes till we were seated, but no big deal. Our drink order was not right (diet soda instead of regular). Still no biggie for us. They took our order and we waited…and waited. I noticed after 30 minutes of waiting after our order was taken that nobody in the restaurant was eating except one table. Many tables were talking about what the delays may have been. Even some tables that were served drinks just got up and left. Let me pause to say it wasn’t overly busy and from what I could see they had enough wait staff to handle the tables, so something was happening in the kitchen. We finally got our food an hour and 10 minutes after sitting. The food was very average for diner food at the prices. None of the staff ever mentioned problems much less apologized for the delays. Customer service should never be forgotten during these times. There wasn’t much effort or concern for patrons that dined there on that day. My daughter used the restroom while we were waiting and the light fixture was dangling from the ceiling only a couple feet from the floor. The place was not clean.

hidden gem on the shore, for sure!!! it was so cute inside & the food was exceptional!! the food wasn’t too heavy or greasy like other diners. will be visiting again !

Not a fan. Very overpriced ($3.50 for a tea bag and hot water, $5 for 1 pancake) and food was average, at best. Eggs were obviously the premix in a bottle type, bacon was ok, but the biscuit was very good. Plus they charge 3.5% if you use a credit card. The only outstanding quality of this diner is the service. Very friendly and quick servers. Unfortunately, that won’t bring me back.

It didn't seem Diversity friendly in this diner. I waited 1 1/2 hr for my egg white omelette. At a 5 star Italian restaurant, they gotten a $20 tip from me on EXCELLENT service. No tip from me. Two thumbs down ????

What a beautiful atmosphere ?. The restaurant is in walking distance from our room. Customer service we're top tier. The staff engaged and interacted well with each customer. My husband ordered a hamburger meal which was cooked to order to your liking. Their burgers are homemade and seasoned with perfection. Prices are affordable and reasonable. Clean environment. They also serve breakfast and lunch. Hours of business: 7AM-2PM. I would highly recommend to family & Friends.

If you're a fan of Betty Boop this is your place. It's everywhere. The atmosphere is amazing. The staff is friendly and fast. The restaurant is clean and feels clean.

Staff seemed nice walking in, but quickly realized how inattentive they were. Waited over 30 minutes for a sandwich that came out wrong without any update as to why. A waitress came over with our bill and asked if we enjoyed everything, when we hadn’t even gotten the meal yet. Almost $30 for a sandwich and two drinks is also extravagant coming from a diner. Just overall a horrible experience.

Ordered hot open face turkey platter. Turkey was very dry and not served hot. There was Chucks of dark meat along with white meat. Gravy was good.
Patty melt was greasy and onions needed to be grilled more. Service was good.

Wonderful place!!! I especially love the lady who serves in the morning times. Im a targeted individual (for the past 3 years, which means everywhere i go fusion centers and FBI go around slandering me, and then people participate in my harassment) this beautiful lady treated me so kindly and it was so nice to be around someone who isnt completely brainwashed by people with badges. Thank you for being a good person, and kind to me, dispite the lies that are told about me.

This diner has an electic feel that makes you smile as you enter the establishment. There are many artifacts of Betty Boop and other celebrities, like Elvis and Marilyn Monroe.
Our waitress did an excellent job of serving us. We welcomed her suggestions. The tuna melt was fantastic, as was the grilled chicken salad. This is probably the best iced tea I have had in all of Daytona Beach. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

I had a hamburger and it was not even meat. It was round, that's the only thing that resemble a burger. Not any juice, just this dried out thing. The fries were cold and limp. He had a fried fish dinner, not to bad. Nothing is home made.
