Went today for lunch and ordered the French dip. It's advertised as prime rib beef with onions and peppers with au jus for dipping.. definitely was not prime beef. No flavor very little meat and the au jus was like salt water. We have been there before and the burgers were good and Philly cheese steak was good. Our server did a great job but I may not go back for food.
I don't usually write reviews but someone needs to know what is going on.

Great burgers. Nice to eat inside in the A/C but sometimes much more fun to be out in the Tiki bar. They have live music outside on the weekends.

Review for The Hard Deck Tiki Bar – Daytona Beach (Aug 9, 2025)
On August 9, 2025, my fiancé and I visited this location and experienced serious issues. Food was served partially frozen (calamari), overly salted (gator bites), and cold/old-looking (entrée). Returned food was reheated instead of freshly prepared. We were shown a receipt totaling $70.88, but after giving my card, the waitress added $13.31 gratuity without my consent, raising the total to $84.19. I have filed a formal complaint with Florida DBPR and will be pursuing this matter further.

Sat outside, had lunch & drinks. Jax was just great! (Our bartender/server) Watched baseball until the TV reception went out. Had a Philly cheesesteak sandwich & fries. Sandwich was dry for a Philly though the meat was on point. Would definitely come back, but would order something else.

The place to sit is on the outdoor covered porch. Very pleasant atmosphere with the light breeze and sunshine. There is a bar as well as separate tables to choose from. Good tasting pub food. The she-crab soup and wings are especially good. Ultra on tap. Salt or sugar rimmed margaritas. There was a very good live country band that played. Talking was easy before they started... Not so much during the songs.
