Hard to find a family type restaurant in Daytona. This one fit the bill. Good food, reasonable prices, large portions.

Great food. So many gluten free options. The club was GF and the toasted bread didn’t fall apart.

We went for Sunday breakfast and was seated right away. The waitress was busy, but we got our coffees. We ordered breakfast and a short time later. The coffee was refreshed during our meal. The breakfast, eggs, toast, bacon and home fries were pretty good. My wife ordered cinnamon pancakes and enjoyed that too. Overall we would gladly return there for future breakfast.

This place is popular and it is a little wait every time we go. Worth the wait. Always busy. I cannot say anything bad except it is always packed and wish there was more room, but I would recommend this place to anyone

I ordered chicken & waffles minus their strawberry butter. Little did I know when my server asked me if I wanted bone in chicken that I'd be getting the whole bird! It was 🔥🔥🔥 my go to whenever I revisit Metro!

We had Metro Diner Daytona cater our Thanksgiving dinner for the second year in a row. Last year was so good, we decided to let them do the cooking again this year. We dealt with Alesia (forgive my spelling!), and she was great. She explained everything, was able to accommodate special requests (plain corn instead of spicy Street corn), some extra gravy, etc. We expected 6-8 people, and instead, we were just two. We had enough food for the whole block! There are leftovers in the fridge and in the freezer.

The food was excellent . But the reason I only gave 4* was a couple of small things. First, the Mac and cheese was tasty, but kinda flavourless. Needed “doctoring”. Then, all 3 sides, the Mac-n-cheese, corn, and mashed potatoes all came side-by-side in one pan, and they all kinda mixed together. It would be SO much better if they came separately .

Shoutout to Metro Diner Daytona, and especially Alesia, for a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. See you next year!

My partner and I visited on a Sunday morning fire brunch and it was utterly spectacular. We were served by Gwen who's professionalism and charm shone through with every interaction we had. I had my first experience of grits, asking with home fries, eggs over eat and the fluffiest pancakes I've never had. It was good enough for me to overlook the fact that bacon in America is so much thinner than in the UK :p

Highly recommended.

service was great, food was nothing special,I had steak tips and they appeared to come straight out of can.it was like eating little bits of leather, that wasn't even browned.too many choices of eating places,to settle for this. one and done,I couldn't in good faith tell anyone to eat there.
