I want to give praise to the staff at Stonewood's in Daytona. My wife and I went for dinner on Monday and sat in the sports bar. The next day I realized my new Oakley sunglasses were missing. I looked various places for them, but could not find. On Friday, I decided to stop by Stonewood's and see if I had left them there by chance. The hostess knew right away about them and said "I think they are in our safe". A few minutes later she brought them out to me! I was very pleased with the honesty of all involved as they could have easily "disappeared" and not been found. Thank you to the staff for being trustworthy!
Great Lunch. Nate was a great Server
We enjoyed excellent service and the food was outstanding. Hubby had the cheeseburger and I had the Asian Sea Bass. Topped off the dinner with my favorite, crème brûlée. A Happy Anniversary dinner to remember ❤️
The meal we had here this past Father's Day was absolutely delicious - Tuscan Chicken -FABULOUS and 8oz. Sirloin - very good but the requested MEDIUM RARE was more bloody rare in the middle. My husband ate it, but both of us would rather the "MEDIUM" rare ordered, however it was soft, tender and still tasty!! My complaint was with the bar music, a live guitarist with a mediocre voice and I'm not even sure what you call HIS kind of music - instrumental riffs and volume set at LOUD. My husband & I and an old man at the bar were the only people in this very small bar area and I thought I would go mad the 30 minutes we waited for our meal. I asked my husband to move into the Sports Bar where it was noisy but not bad music! He preferred not to be to not upset the bartneder-waitress. He's too nice, I was about ready to scream and pull out my hair - it was REALLY LOUD and BAD!!! When you have only two people sitting in a bar (overflow, we had no reservations and the restaurant was full due to Father's Day crowd) eating Sunday dinner the guitarist/singer should have known to tone down his music as we were drinking at the bar or having drinks. impossible to tune him out! Good thing the food was excellent. Just don't eat in the "Tranquility Bar" if you want a peaceful dinner!
Staff was friendly and attentive. Good food selection.
It was a ok place. Nothing spectacular. Very pricey for what we had. Not sure if we will return or not. We had a appetizer, 1 drink each, salad and baked potatoes and it was 81 bucks.
Staff not welcoming. Plenty of room in restaurant but would not let us have a table without a reservation. As a member of your VIP club I have been receiving emails regularly and had been looking forward to coming back to your fan restaurant BUT treated so badly. Was told could eat in sports bar and left to find it ourselves. THE SPORTS BAR IS DARK. DEPRESSING AND HOT. Very disappointing. You used to have a good reputation BUT no more. After years of dining with you it will be a long time before we return if ever. Shame as the food looks as good as ever but spoilt by the staff you employ.
Nice atmosphere! excellent food and service at great prices!
Lunch at Stonewood a disappointing experience. Brisket sandwich: brisket well done but overly fatty which should have been trimmed for a sandwich, cook had way too heavy a hand with salt, that was the prevailing taste. The large artificial plant above/behind our table was attractive until I viewed the back side leaf which had dust an inch think on a large leaf. The ladies room not well maintained: wallpaper starting to lift off and the corner of the floor in one of the stalls was filthy.
We decided to try the place that we have been driving by for the past few weeks. We are happy that we went. We sat in the sports section. We ordered buffalo shrimp appetizer, which was delicious. Although we waited quite awhile for our lunch, it was very good. I had the two for lunch which I chose salad wedge and Paris turkey 1/2 sandwich. I thoroughly enjoyed my food and my husband thought his cheeseburger was cooked exactly as he ordered. Our server was very attentive and professional. We will definitely go back!
Restaurantji Recommends
Terrific ambience in a spacious high end restaurant, with great views of landscaping and splashing fountains. Our server and our meals were excellent. One note: for a restaurant of this size, 4 handicapped parking spaces is not even close to being enough.
The food and service was excellent. Highly recommend this place. We would definitely go again!! Our server was amazing and very attentive.
Waitress was horrible and will not be coming back. House chips not fresh with appetizer order. It took 40 mins for hostess to bring the food. I asked the waitress on how long it will take for our order. She told me “I put the order in and do not know how long” and walked off”.
So I haven't written anything about these guys in a while. I wanted to feel them out for a little bit and see. Well, the last 3 times we have been here, the food has definitely improved 100%. The chicken pasta, Tuscan chicken, Poke bowl, hamburgers, French dip are all fantastic. The place is very nice and Romantic. They also have a sports bar side. We always sit at the bar and have always had great service. It was during race weekend and the place was empty. The traffic is heavy in this area now, so be patient. It will be worth it. Food and drink prices are pretty reasonable. To me, it's more important to get good food and quality over cheap and crappy. Parking has always been good for me. I'm lucky like that. In all, great food, service and price. I would bring friends and family here. I recommend.
We stopped here for lunch today while traveling. The chicken bowl was AMAZING!!! Good quality food. Payton was our waitress and she was so pleasant and professional. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.
