Other comments says it all...it was not a good experience. Trying to charge to my room. I was told my room doesn't exist. š¤¦š½āāļø I showed my key, that was not enough. I had to waste time as a Hilton Gold member and go to the front desk to get the issue resolved. When I saw the reviews was a 2.8, I knew my experience was not isolated.

Awful margarita, all sour mix and tasted horrible. Tiny little pours. Service awful, barely acknowledged and set drink down on other side of bar. Just bad experience overall.

I was really confused about how this establishment works. It was almost never open and the bartenders really seemed to not want to be there. On a Sunday it says they are open 11-9 but they said they were closing early (at 4) because it slows down once the sun goes down. Just overall confusing and no reason to go back.

Food was very low quality. Service was horrible. Drinks were worse. The $30 margarita was disgusting. Avoid at all costs.

Stayed in a kingsize ocean view room. The view was of the roof, very little beach and it was covered in chicken bones and women's under wear. The blinds when I closed them were moth eaten full of wholes. Had to get up 3 times in the night to stop the toilet from running. The third floor hallway was under construction and very dirty. For 375.00 dollars a night over priced and it was disgusting. I will not be returning to this hotel and would advise anyone else to look for a better stay. BTW the staff was very friendly.
Throughout the years, I have stayed at Hilton Hotels in Canada and the U.S., all of which had a high degree of quality. This was not the case when I stayed at the Hilton Daytona Beach. The sparse room itself had a broken refrigerator that no one bothered to remove. The mattress I slept on was more like one in a Days Inn than a Hilton. The costly parking was half a block away from the hotel, unless you wanted to pay $40 for valet parking. I will avoid this hotel in the future.
Dinner service at Don Ricoās was a pleasant surprise. The service was attentive (Danielle was amazing ) but what blew me away was Chef Brandonās special. He gets a fresh catch each week and offers seasonal specials. I had the Mahi curry with jasmine rice and for a beachside sports bar, this was a meal I would find at a fine dining experience. If you are at the resort donāt judge dinner service by the lunch - it is a total 360.
The hotel is expensive for its condition. It could use cleaning (especially the pool) and many doors, etc needed repairs. Iām guessing this place was super nice back in the 90s but needs major updates. The hotel is right on the beach, which is definitely a plus. Itās also right next to the boardwalk, which, like the hotel, needs work. Itās pretty run-down. I wouldnāt stay here again based on all of this, but it worked fine for being with my young son. I chose it because of convenience to the beach and boardwalk, and because I have Hilton Honors.
This hotel is not up to Hilton standards. My hotel room was dirty, dinghy, and had stains on the ceiling. The bathroom was worse. The hotel in general needs to be overhauled. There is no reception area and no staff members to ensure guest safety in the North Tower. If do decide to stay at this property, beware of your personal safety if your room is in the North Tower.
Diamond member and we consider ourselves reasonable people. Mistakes happen and everyone is entitled to a bad day but.... Individually these were not a big deal. Together they really ruined the "resort" experience that we are familiar with. Expensive self parking in distressed parking lot far from hotel Wifi never worked in room Dated worn rooms Keurig machine was broken A/C barely kept the room cool but only if we shut the curtains Lobby smelled like someone had thrown up lukewarm beer from outside pool bar

The dirtiest hotel, I'm surprised Hilton hasn't shut it down. When I spoke to management about it..."we take pride..." and a smirk... Obviously not, as I pointed out the garbage next to the lobby chairs. *The lobby has a soured-laundry smell, the elevators had obscene graffiti, the trash cans in the lobby were over-flowing, furniture was damaged and dirty, the cushions were greasy and crusty, empty beverages on the floor (lobby) and used paper trash shoved into the cushions. Stained carpet throughout (all common areas and room), the bathtub did not drain, cracked and broken tiles, dead bugs trapped in the bathroom light. EXPOSED ELECTRICAL WIRING (lobby). The problems are too numerous to list...save your money STAY ANYWHERE ELSE. It was too late for me to cancel, otherwise I would have walked out. See the attached photos.
Stayed 2 nights thinking we were safe with a Hilton brand hotel. We checked in late Thursday and the room had a weird stale smell. It was a full day of travel so we toughed it out and went to bed.Bathroom tiles were chipped and cracked, tub glaze was worn with rust at bottom and shower handle to control temp was loose. We woke the next day, opened the blinds and entire carpet by the slide door was soaked.Called the front desk and they sent up maintenance who said there was nothing he could do but get housekeeping to send a blower up to dry the carpet. When he left we pulled back the curtains more and found the carpet behind the curtains full of black mold so who knows how long or how many times water has sat there. We called back down to front desk and requested a room change. When we got to our new room we opened the curtains and found yet more water sitting on the windowsill.Called back downstairs and they found us yet another room but after waiting almost an hour for the bellboy to bring our new keys and show us to our new room I had to call back down again because nobody showed. They eventually came with new room keys but when we got to the third room it was locked from the inside so we had to wait for security then again for maintenance who had a tool to unlock it. Through it all Andrea at the front desk was super helpful and very accommodating. If it wasn't for her I would have rated this hotel a one star. Dont let the Hilton name fool you this hotel needs major updates!
We come here all the time because of their Great Customer Service. Great View, Great Dining, Everything within walking distance, GREAT BIG SHOUT OUT to ZAZELL, SIGNET, TINA, and LATWANDOLYN from Doc Bales to RON WHITE, JADD, ERIC from the Blind Turtle, and SAL, & KIMBERLY from The McCoys Rum Room. Their Customer Service is SPECTACULAR!! Definitely Recommend!!!
The salmon BLT at Don Ricoās was fantastic. I was able to sub for gluten free bread and the chips are delicious. I had a little delay when I arrived and was waiting to get a server. I asked a different server, Felicia and she jumped right in to take care of me with kindness and efficiency. I am very grateful for her smile and care. Itās a big hotel with lots of guests who are typically overheated from the sun, and this restaurant provides a great respite with tasty food and efficiency. Thanks!
wonderful stay, all thanks to my bellhop named Alen! thank you Hilton :)
