Amante's Italian Cuisine

Loud, overpriced, rude & terrible service. There are far better options, pass Amante's, you will likely be unsatisfied at best.

We visited here a few weeks ago, unfortunately we experienced the worst service and food ever in the Deerfield beach area. My pasta was cold and the chicken was soggy. If they want to charge a premium for menu items; they need to provide a quality dinning experience. If you are visiting the Deerfield area please do yourself a favor and eat at a different restaurant.

I only hope that our server, David, a young man with short blonde hair, was having an off day, since I’ve very rarely experienced worst service. He clearly had an attitude from the start on taking our order. Following this, he rarely said a word. When one person in our party finished their meal, he took the knife off her plate and grabbed the plate without saying a word. Although assuming she was finished was a reasonable assumption, I don’t recall the last time someone has taken my plate without confirming I had finished. It’s just common courtesy. Later, he just grabbed the Parmesan jar from our table, which had been present since we sat down, and gave it to another table without a word. We had no problem sharing, but please ask. We were just shocked and had to laugh. Again, I hope he just had a bad day, but we won’t be returning. As for the food, I had Chicken Marsala and a Caesar Salad. I’ve had Chicken Marsala in numerous restaurants, and this one literally had no flavor at all. The salad was fine, but it’s a salad. All in all, a poor experience.

Still our favorite spot in the Deerfield Beach area. Just another added memory to our slew of wonderful memories. I only wish there was the typical live music... one of my favorite aspects.... but they had some great music in the overhead.

Food and atmosphere and service was great nothing more to say !!! Went in the afternoon for my daughter's wedding place was empty we got the whole place to our self it was a great time

The pizza was sub par and the croonie entertainment was not much to bring any life to the evening. Guess it was Sunday. But for $65.00, would never go there again or recommend to anyone, unfortunate!

Incredible food and service!

The food quality was noticeably better as takeout compared to dining in, which raises some concerns. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant for a special dinner, especially considering the over $100 price tag. In today’s competitive restaurant landscape, establishments—no matter how long they've been in business—need to consistently elevate their offerings.Having enjoyed authentic pizza and handmade pasta in Italy, I was expecting a true Italian dining experience, but what I encountered felt more Americanized than Italian. If a restaurant claims to offer Italian cuisine, I believe they should embrace their heritage and deliver a more authentic representation.The appetizers, specifically the mussels, were underwhelming. In Italy, it's common to lose track of how many mussels are served as part of a generous appetizer, but here, the portion was quite disappointing. Similarly, the mozzarella sticks during happy hour seemed more suited to an American diner than an Italian establishment.The hot sub was another letdown. The waitress tried to advise me on how to order it to avoid insulting the chef, but her suggestions made little sense, and I wasn't impressed. Additionally, the hot beef and onion sub was far from fresh, tasting like it had been sitting around for a while.As for the Sicilian-style pizza, it was a far cry from what you'd expect in Sicily. It felt more like a generic offering than a true representation of Sicilian cuisine.While the ambiance may appeal to some, I suspect many of the patrons haven’t experienced authentic Italian food, which may explain their satisfaction. Overall, I can only give this restaurant 3 stars. There’s definitely room for improvement, and I hope they take the opportunity to refine their offerings moving forward.

Have eaten there probably 50 times ....no free parking anymore in front of the restaurant, the landlord apparently "sold the spots to a parking company scam". But the worst is the food is going downhill and the prices continue to go SKYHIGH! Chicken parmigiana is now 30! ...yes no typo. 30! ...its good but not worth 30.00 sorry to say. Prices are out of control ...we all know pasta cost next to nothing and chicken is not that much ....And we asked for bread twice ...and never got it until after the food was served ...this happened the last 2 times as well...they try to NOT SERVE you bread for some reason ...I don't get it bread is insanely cheap and mentally "mitigates" the fact your being ripped off with there outrageous food prices. Very foolish policy of theirs to do this. 3rd time this has happened its not a accident!

The table next to us ...after they saw they food prices they said the decided to order a pizza and split it in order to limit the financial damage of eating dinner there. I had the spaghetti and meatballs and the quality continues to go downhill there too ...they are using less meat and more breadcrumbs and sauce did not have the "rich and full flavor" that it had in the past ..I actually asked the server is the restaurant under new ownership. She said it is not. I am sure they are paying a big number for rent ...but I think the high prices and lower food quality will take its toll on this Amantes, sorry to say I used to really enjoy this place.

We tried the caprese salad, fried mozzarella, meatballs, and the ziti with broccoli and grilled chicken. All was good. Want to try their pizza next.
