On 8/10/2022- I visited the HOOK &REEL CAJUN SEAFOOD AND BAR at 3887 West Hillsboro Blvd. In Deerfield Beach. I always drove by these franchises on University Drive in Florida but one day I decided to stop by to see what the big hype was. I ordered to go the Clam Chowder soup which was OMG!!!! Excellent and so was the friendly staff. I looked at the menu, I waited less than 10 minutes and I was served immediately. I made it back to work in less than 1 hour. I did also try the Cajun chicken wings all flats and they were also DELICIOUS. It was flavorful, not spice at all and you wanted more after the first chicken wing. That or I must have been hungry. Overall, I really enjoyed their soup. A must try. MARIAE

The place was clean. Service from our server was good and very attentive. I forgot his name but he was a young gentleman wearing glasses. We had the special set and the king crab legs. The sauce was so delicious i couldnt stop lickin my fingers!!!

My family and I shared a couple Combo Boils last night and they were awesome. All the seafood was fresh, perfectly cooked and perfectly spiced. It is a bit messy but well worth it.

They took over the Ruby Tuesday location that we liked, did a beautiful build out inside, minor changes outside. Great selection of crab boils and fried seafood. I ordered fried oysters and they were good. Others in our party really enjoyed the crab legs. Overall great seafood at the price point, which is surprisingly reasonable these days. Service was a bit slow considering few customers and a little background music or something would add a little energy until the place starts drawing bigger crowds. One drawback is the limited non seafood options in case someone in the party is not a seafood fan. A few more chicken and beef options would be nice.

Sooooo good. Menu is great and reasonably priced for what you get. They have a great bar with some delicious cocktails too. The place is decorated so it's cute and really makes for a cool experience. These crab places have been popping up all over lately and this is definitely one of the best. We will be going back.

This restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere nice staff and very good seafood. The prices are reasonable because this restaurant has less waste because they sell seafood that was previously frozen But the seafood is fresh and really cooked very nicely. Ishe creative concept of offering several types of sauce really allows them to individualize a dish to the customer's exact taste.

Went there first time Sunday Evening, The parking lot was empty that was a little scary but I thought maybe it's just Sunday night. Service was very slow at first even though they were only three or four customers in the entire restaurant. Overall the food was bland, lacking flavor. The sausage was kielbasa , some of the potatoes were not cooked through, the corn had no flavor at all, the potatoes not much flavor. They were spicy sauces OK I guess. The mussels were ok. The crab was ok, the lobster tail was chewy. The hard boiled eggs had green oaks , Look it up that means they were cooked too hard and too long.Don't think I'll be going back there.

Hook & Reel is a fun, good ole Cajun seafood boil. Bring the family, put on the gloves and dig in to some really good food. The seafood boils are the best and the Hook & Reel sauce is their own creation and very good.
Hook & Reel is amazing! Went for Friday date night and we're blown away. The food was delicious and our server Haley was amazing! She was so sweet and explained the menu very well to us. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I were surprised at the quality of food. We expected to find salty fast food instead we found really good and tasty food without a lot of salt. Normally we both "feel" the aftereffects of salty fast food but neither of us had that reaction after eating here.The food was served hot and our server was polite and helpful.We will return to this restaurant again. This is an exceptional fast food restaurant.

Absolutely delicious seafood boils at a reasonable price. Quite possibly the greatest dinner I have ever experienced in my life. I ordered the King Crab and Snow Crab legs with Lobster in Cajun Sauce and it was simply delectable. Our server was great and service was great and quick. I’m so happy that this opened up recently, as I had to drive a pretty great distance to get my fillings of crab. I can’t think of a better place to eat in Boca Raton. I’m speechless!

I saw that there were 2 fairly new seafood boil places on Hillsboro Blvd so we decided to check it out last night. I read the reviews and the menus and saw that Hook & Reel had Calamari and since my family likes spicy calamari, we decided on Hook & Reel. Like most Cajun seafood boil restaurants, the nautical décor , sets the tone for a laid back casual dinner and a fun place with good old spicy shellfish. Grab those plastic gloves and get ready. Looking at the menu, I noticed there wasn't Calamari for the seafood boil, even though it was listed on the online menu. I asked the waitress and she said, that it was available. We ordered drinks, what Cajun Seafood Extravaganza doesn't pair well with a Stella on draft and at $6 that's a deal!!! Ordering the boil was easy, except there was no Calamari. Note to management...you may want to change the menu online. Food was prepared fast and it was excellent. Checking out was a nightmare. It took forever to get the check; the waitress was MIA and honestly, it wasn't busy. Tired of waiting, we went to the front to pay, yet we still had to wait for her. All in all it was a good meal. If they can step up the service it will be a winner.

I love a good crab boil and Hook and Reel does a very good job. The crab is fresh and the shrimp nice and big. This is my second time and both times the food as has great. Laid back atmosphere with a full bar. Lots of great decor and TVs. The only draw back was our original server. When we were seated there were only a few tables seated and it took a little while before anyone approached our table. I inquired of the server walking by and she told "o it's me" but asked she could come back. After about 10 minutes still no sign of the waitress. Thank goodness for Tay!!! She took our order and did a great job. Hey not everyone is cut out to be a server but for a fairly new restaurant there service should be on point.
