Working with ShipMonk has been a very poor experience and, frankly, it's a risky choice for businesses.
In my case, I submitted an order that needed to arrive in a specific day. The order was properly submitted in their system, met their stated cut off times, and was confirmed as correct. But the order did not ship. Later, the ShipMonk representative acknowledged that an internal mistake or delay on their side was the reason why the package sat for more than three days without being shipped.
This caused me to miss a paid event where I was supposed to sell my products. I had already paid the registration fee, and due to ShipMonk’s negligence, I lost the money and an important business opportunity.
Since the shipment was not arriving for the event, I requested a return to sender. That process took more than two weeks to even appear in the system, during which time no one could tell me where my package was.
After weeks of uncertainty, I was finally told that they “missed” the fact that the carrier had issued a new tracking number and only then did they realize the package was on its way back.
This level of negligence, lack of ownership, and poor communication puts businesses at risk. Not only operationally, but also commercially, because it can irreversibly harm your credibility with your customers, specially if you want to work in a B2B model. Based on my experience, I would not recommend ShipMonk to any business.
If you really care about your business. really do not use Shipmonk... Very expensive ...
Overpriced and overcomplicated; lacks guidance and customer service feels like an IT center. Every little thing is a process with separate requests and ticket system that makes it very depersonalized, complicated, and slow.
Current customer. Should have went with a different 3PL they dont care about your business and are the most difficult people to work with. The staff doesnt know whats going on and is slow to fix any issues.

Absolutely horrible experience. They truly could not care less for their customers. We outsourced our fulfillment to them thinking it would save us some headaches— just the opposite. Their fees are incomprehensible. When you ask for clarification, they offer none. If an issue arises it is never their fault. Want to get some of your inventory back? They tell you to place an order on your website for the inventory you want back. They can’t manage to return it to you directly. The final straw was that the shipment mapping they set up themselves on our Shopify store stopped working and our site stopped shipping to the US (the only place we ship to). We reached out to them and with ZERO investigation they said it must be Shopify’s fault not theirs. I’m attaching the email we received from their so called “Happiness Engineer” after expressing all of our concerns and our desire to cancel. Now that I think about it, I think their happiness engineers know customers would be happier if they stop using Shipmonk.

If I could give zero stars, I would. My initial review was about their complete lack of professionalism when my wife was trying to schedule a call for her new business venture for the past month. Their sales associates either rescheduled at the last minute or never showed up at all, and on top of that, they never responded to emails. Of course they had the option to say: sorry we're fully booked and can't have new businesses or Sorry, we will reach out to you to learn about your business and hopefully work together. Instead of addressing this issue, the company chose to retaliate by reaching out to MY employer—who has absolutely nothing to do with the business I personally contacted them about. This level of unprofessionalism and intimidation is a huge red flag. Avoid this company at all costs.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!Customer service is awful. During peak times they take over 8 days to get our orders. There’s tons of hidden fees. The storage fees are not detailed. Charging ridiculous peak fees, fuel surcharges and residential charges. Blaming it on carriers. Which is a lie.If you try to close your account watch out- they will withdraw money from your bank account. Over charge you for pick fees on your last order and refuse you access.Stay away from these guys if you can help it. They don’t care about your business. They just care about making money.
