You are in for a treat if you stop in to this quaint, delicious restaurant. My husband had a very sweet….sticky….yummy pastry and I had a “Modern Panini”. They were both served on lovely flowery china and were absolutely delicious!!! Coffee was also wonderful! I look forward to going back!
The staff was very accommodating with a large group of people. They also have do many options with dynamic flavor combinations. Highly recommend
We live in Delray Beach and wanted to try this new cafe...it is awesome! Great people, great atmosphere and delicious food and drink choices! Nothing like this place anywhere.. definitely coming back!
We were so excited to finally try the modern rose with our friends today. Food took over an hour and arrived at the table and was cold. Which was a shame because the food would have tasted really good, had it been hot. We ended up eating it because we were starving and don’t believe in sending food back (I’ve seen things in my lifetime). I understand that restaurants get busy, and had we have been given the heads up about the timeline for food to be ready, we could have opted out.

This very eclectic storefront location is delightful. Young people working super nice. We placed our order at the register and such a beautiful morning we got lucky and had a table outside…. The view is the parking lot. When they brought us our breakfast everything was beautifully presented. I ordered what I order everywhere avocado toast , this time I had fried eggs and it didn’t disappoint, might be my favorite this far. The coffee was hot and good. My friend had an egg sandwich with melted muenster and mozzarella, large enough to fill him. Definitely coming back!!
Had to wait 1 hour for to-go breakfast.
Totally overpriced. I got the drinks after just 10 minutes. When breakfast came the drinks were already cold.
Conclusion: overhyped.

Breakfast to go took almost an hour.
The coffee arrived in advance and went cold.
Bad service and high prices.

The drinks, the food in the people made this experience amazing for me and my dog. They were kind enough to give her a pup cup so she could enjoy lunch with me :)

The food, drinks, and service are alright, but wow it isn't worth it. Come here if you enjoy:
- Watching people sip at their coffee for an hour, occupying the largest tables with their filthy plates.
- The previous point is important, because you'll be standing in a hot, cramped hallway of a restaurant with other irate, waiting people.
- Oh, and that's assuming they don't have you standing in the sun.
It's all okay though, it was only $50 for two people and you're eating off a chair!
I can't imagine what this place is like at its busiest hours, but it must be unbearable.

My daughter likened the decor to it previously being a thrift that picked up and left things behind. Mismatched Sofa and chair seating to low for tables. Microwaved eggs. Floors and sofas not seeming clean. I don't get the appeal of this eccentric quirky decor.

My wife and I (plus my whole family, actually, mom, dad, brothers, niece/nephew, etc.) absolutely love The Modern Rose.
We came here the first time with my mother when it had just opened, and although way more people have found out about this once hidden gem, it's still just as amazing, with great vegan and non-vegan options, alike, so something for everyone. Great cafe with some delicious teas and coffee, both regular like drip and lattes and speciality tea creations and coffee, as well.
Today, for example, I got the Churro Cold Brew and my wife got a Passion Breeze signature tea.
I also got my recent go-to sandwich, the Boca Egg Sammie, which is all vegan, and added the vegan sausage. My wife got the CBR, which is a great option for her, the non-vegan type, which is a flat bread with mozzarella, chicken, bacon and ranch. Delish, she tells me!
I can't say enough good things about this cafe, and it really is a great experience beyond just the food. Cute place, as well. I will always come back, no matter the wait it can sometimes take or the lines sometimes out the door. Worth it! 100%
Vegetarian options: Not just vegetarian, but a lot of of the menu is vegan, drinks and eats alike, and they have an easily readable menu that tells what stuff is vegan and/or can be made vegan, so that's a real plus, as well. Just tell them you're vegan or plant based and they'll definitely hook you up.
Parking: Easy to park. Located in a large shopping complex with other stores/restaurants. Never had a problem finding parking.
