My daughter likened the decor to it previously being a thrift that picked up and left things behind. Mismatched Sofa and chair seating to low for tables. Microwaved eggs. Floors and sofas not seeming clean. I don't get the appeal of this eccentric quirky decor.

My wife and I (plus my whole family, actually, mom, dad, brothers, niece/nephew, etc.) absolutely love The Modern Rose.

We came here the first time with my mother when it had just opened, and although way more people have found out about this once hidden gem, it's still just as amazing, with great vegan and non-vegan options, alike, so something for everyone. Great cafe with some delicious teas and coffee, both regular like drip and lattes and speciality...

Love this place, however lately they’re screwing up. Gf brownies burnt, when warming them up, plus have to ask for them. Three times in a row cappuccino simply MIA; today I waited 25 minutes, asking for it 3 times. A great place, but these incidents never occurred in the past, so lack of training must be the culprit here
