Great place to stop for a treat!!

I recently visited the Perla Baking Co. at 766 Baldwin Ave, in Defuniak Springs, FL. I went inside and noticed how nice the interior was. I went to the counter and was met and my drink order was taken as I looked over the baked goods I had to chose from, a tough decision. I chose a scone and took it to my table and enjoyed my light meal. A must go to place.

Friendly informed service. Fresh roasted coffee from own roasters, Amavida. Superb baked goods, scones were oven fresh, everything was so good we had to order quick breads and coffee beans to go. Will always go out of our way to pass through DeFuniack Springs and stop here

I come here at least two or three times every week, Lexie is absolutely amazing!! She is always super friendly, and she does a fantastic job getting everything out quickly! I love this place. It doesn’t matter what drink or what food I get, it’s all good. I’ve never had a single thing off of their menu that I didn’t love. Whatever you guys are paying your staff, it is not enough. The store is always clean, and everyone who works here is friendly, makes great recommendations, and provides excellent customer service

Best breakfast burrito in DFS! IDK what they use for the bacon but it is delicious! Love the art on the walls that they change around throughout the year too! Enjoy that they have a little free library there too! Love this place.

My Granddaughter and I were were exploring this little town and stumbled across this Bakery and we are sure glad we did. Probably the best blueberry muffin I’ve had.

Perla is everything a great bakery and café should be—welcoming, delicious, and always a reason to come back. Highly recommend!

This place is really good, the neighborhood is cute too. I got matcha and a breakfast biscuit.

This place is awesome. Great food. Great coffee. Great atmosphere. That Zoe girl is pretty cool too. Y’all should like, give her a raise or something.

I hate to leave a bad review of this place. I go here at least 1x a week, sometimes 3. I drive an hour to get here. I love the chai tea, pastries, and ambience. The last 3xs I got food instead of pastries, and it was terrible. The breakfast is the worst. The bacon is never cooked. I mean not in the slightest. There’s zero seasoning in the bowl or burrito. The grilled cheese had burnt cheese in the inside. I have no idea how that even happens. Each of these things I got to go and ate on the road. Big mistake. I should have checked them first. The other thing, the people that work here are not happy to be here, so it seems. I’ve never seen a smile or a thank you. Another reviewer had it spot on about the resting face…I wanna live this place so much, but it gets worse every time I go. Sadly I will not make the drive anymore. Total waste of money. The last 2 coupons I had from gaining points, the employees told me it doesn’t show up. I showed them on my app, but they told me I couldn’t use it unless it showed up for them. I contacted cash app and they said everything was fine on their end. I think the employees just don’t want you to use them.

Use to get some of their baked goods when they were under the glass enclosure. But now since they sit out in the open, I don't ! They are exposed and have seen flies sitting on the baked goods! Today I was there for a coffee and saw 5 flies sitting on the pastries! Why aren't they covered?

Gave this place a second try. Staff was friendly this time. But it takes forever for food, so be prepared. I didn't like their Chai-but my mother in-law's drink was delicious.

Only go here for my girlfriend and my mom they love the frozen coffees
