Plateful Chinese Buffet

Well we just get one round. A half and half tea. I had hot and sour soup. Cucumbers and tomato salad and some sushi's rolls about 6. That does it for me. Husband had little rice and noodles some chicken and sweet and sour sauce and that was all. They said dinner. Did not understand what was she saying. Then I said oh dinner. Warning was the price goes up. We never do second plates. We never get 15.00 with the food. We aren't like this he ones that come here to load up, and waste all. They were surprised we only had one plate of food. Some times I think is all you can eat, but can you eat it all. ? Some ppl stuff their faces like swine. Not very pleasant sitting with ppl doing that. I'm glad we are not at the pigs table.

Went to Plateful for diner yesterday, 09/19, and had the worst experience! Food was not fresh in the slightest, had been under a heat lamp for hours and was either soggy or so hard you couldn’t eat it. My fiancé went with me and was starving upon arrival, but after his first plate, he ran to the restroom because he got immediately sick. When he returned, he managed to take one more bite until we both decided to leave. For a man that was starving, one plate at a Chinese buffet wouldn’t have filled his stomach. On our way to the check out counter, I noticed two different people at different tables spit their food into a napkin. We ended up paying $36 plus tip for two people and a horrible experience. Later that night, I was sweating due to my stomach cramping so bad. I really wanted to like this place because Chinese is my favorite cuisine but it was a joke. I really hope they can get to a better point as I would love to return but it is not worth feeling sick.

I go there sometimes for lunch or dinner and they have quite a variety of food in the buffet. It's a very pleasant dining experience with good service and atmosphere!

Plateful, is a nice change from your super big and noisy buffets. It has a small town charm with a bit of Asian Infused atmosphere combining them together gives Defuniak springs a unique place to visit after morning of praise or to enjoy a delicious meal.

Good for a Chinese buffet. Never been disappointed. I make it a point to stop here when I’m driving down I-10 around lunchtime.

Just went there to celebrate my grandsons birthday.Large variety of fresh food on the buffet and great service.Drink refills without us asking.They even brought my grandson out little cake squares with a candle on it while a recording of Happy Birthday played.Overall it was a very good experience.

I’ve came here numerous times for years and never left unsatisfied. Plenty of food choices and seating. Never had bad service and never met a disrespectful employee. IF the food wasn’t satisfactory then you most likely came at the wrong time during the day. The right hours for fresh hot food is between 11-1 and 5-8 in my opinion. Don’t expect perfection,No buffet is perfect.

It's good, just the atmosphere can get hectic or overwhelming if you're not used to places like this. The food is great, you can tell some isn't made like actual places but it's a buffet, what do you expect? Anyway, good food, good service, and an.. alright atmosphere.

Horrible experience. Been coming off and on for years and today it wasn't good at all. The waitress picked up our cups to give us refill and stacked our cups on top of dirty plates with half eaten food on them, then brought same cups back to table without washing her hands after touching food people ate off of, I watched her. We had just fixed our plates maybe took 3 bites, instantly lost appetite. Went to cashier told her and she acted like she didn't know what i was saying and charged complete price. Will not go back. I'd leave zero stars but lowest is one.

Did this place change ownership? We haven’t been in awhile and it was not good. We used to love coming here. The people are nice. Food. Negative. We went on a Friday night to ensure freshness, but that was not the experience we had. Food was dry, old, and some of it hard like it had been there a week and tasted similar. For 4 people (waters) our $80 tab was not even close to worth it. Especially since the ice cream machine was out of order lol Everyone in my household still has a tummy ache 🤢 save your money and your stomach!
