⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My husband and I visited The Bake Shop in DeLand yesterday, and we had a wonderful experience! I ordered the classic cheeseburger with sweet potato fries, and my husband had the chicken sandwich—both were absolutely delicious. Everything was made from scratch and tasted so fresh, even the dessert! We tried the chai crème brûlée, and it was incredible. Our waiter Daniel took great care of us. Thank you Daniel!
We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Taylor. She’s such an inspiring woman—creative, courageous, and full of passion for what she does. Hearing her share how she stepped out in faith to start her business was truly beautiful.
This place is definitely a gem! We’ll be coming back soon and can’t wait to visit her other locations as well. Highly recommend!

We went with a group of friends for dinner. The Put Me Out to Pastor was absolutely amazing, great flavor; also the Allicin Wonderland burger was delicious and the fries were also perfectly cooked. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

The people were great and the food came in a timely manner on a busy day! The place is really cool with its set up, just a little small and crowded. The food however was not even close to decent and to be priced the way it is was crazy. I got their version of the steak and cheese sandwich with fries. There was zero flavor, the bread stuck to my fingers from being so soggy and the fries were just soggy lumps of oil. I’ll give it another chance and probably order something else, but this review is my first impression of it. I didn’t know a steak and cheese could even get down to that level, let alone charging 21$ for it.

I don’t have enough words to describe how incredible the food was. My husband and I had the “Reel Good Burger” and the “The 50/50 burger” and my God… It was perfectly seasoned. You can also tell how good it was because my husband said “I’ve never felt as bad for you as I do now for not eating meat because you are missing out on how good this burger is.” (I’m pescatarian). I- for a split second- contemplated taking a bite.. just to see how good it was. I could tell in his face it was absolutely delicious. However it only gets better when our server recommends a nice dessert and we decide on the Carrot Cake. We brought it home (we live in Orlando) and about 3 hours later decided to try… when I tell you I descended into heaven within the first bite.. I’m not being dramatic! THENNN we take another bite and find out theres a filling. Lord help us. Hands down the best carrot cake I’ver had and girl my grandma’s specialty is a carrot cake 😭. We aren’t from Deland and I’m no food critic but nothing has felt like it’s been made with love until we ate here. Thank you so much to our wonderful server who was such a sweetheart and a delight to talk to and learn more about the area! We will be coming back.🫶🏻

The food is amazing, everyone’s nice but the huge problem is that the food portions are/ have been shrinking. It’s started with the fries, not a huge deal but then the fries shrink in portions again 😑. But now! And not only have the fries shrunk in proportions again, but now they take a whole chicken tender away from the kids meal. AND The actual size of the chicken tender have gotten smaller.
Great place for some excellent food. Wait staff is easy going and friendly. Atmosphere was excellent.
