Eggs cooked nicely. Biscuits are good. The sausage gravy tasted like eating raw flour. The sausage was flavorless, not much included and didn't help the gravy. Even hot sauce didn't help.

Here are the positives: big portions, decent price, nice service. The pancakes are massive.

Now, the downside is the food is mediocre at best. The pancakes were tastey, but they came out 5 minutes before the rest of our food. As someone who can't eat a giant pancake before having protein due to medical reasons, I got to watch my pancake get cold while waiting for the rest of my food. My husband and son both ate theirs, and we're full before the rest of their breakfast even got to the table. When the rest of the food finally came, it wasn't good. They both got the country breakfast - one with bacon one with link sausage - and neither were super happy. Husband said his bacon tasted like it was cooked in vegetable oil, and his grits were rubbery. My son didn't even eat all of his link sausages because he said they were luke warm and greasey. I ordered the steakhash with eggs and toast, and despite having steakbites as an option on the menu as well, the steakhash is made with frozen shaved steakum's. It also had NO seasoning on it at all, so the entire hash just tasted like sweated onions. I never even got my toast with my breakfast. We also got a biscuit and gravy, which was easily the best thing we ordered. Gravy was decent, biscuit tasted pretty good and wasn't soggy, but like most of our meal it came out luke warm. By the time I was able to eat my pancake, it was unfortunately also cold.

Overall a pretty disappointing and mediocre experience for a place with pretty great reviews. We definitely will not be back.

Absolutely adore lil diners and this one is top notch. You get fed WELL for the money. The money of which isn't much, I fed 2 with dessert and sweet tea for less than $40.

Our waitress was sweet and on top of things Even got us sweet tea for the road and the cups were massive.

This was my 2nd time here and I'll be returning again n again.

Tonight for me was the Chili n eggs with bacon and home fries plus I added on one of their massive pancakes. My partner got the chicken mini meal with fries and a salad. Ordered my eggs over medium, they came out barely over easy the yolk was super runny but I never hold that against anyone, eggs can be difficult which is why chefs hats have 100 pleats. Cooking eggs is a honed skill. The chili was a lil more watery than I'd like but considering the egg they went together perfectly and I used the home fries to soak it all up. My partner's chicken was still moist, not killed and this place does fried right!! Completely crunchy and golden on the outside soft and yummy on the inside. The chocolate cake was wonderfully fudgey and moist too. The pancake which is a must have on at least one of your visits has a wonderfully crispy edge with awesome fluffy interior.

The decor is cool, the lil signs funny and sweet and all the pictures from the original speak to an owner appreciating their customers.

Great day or night but if you're looking for late night food and you're totally over the usual suspects, definitely pop in here, you won't be disappointed and you may just end up forgetting the usual late night suspects.

Great little diner. I had a big pancake - it was huge, eggs, sausage and hashbrowns. All good stuff.

I've been here multiple times - it's been my go-to place for breakfast when I come down to DeLand to have my motorcycle serviced. Plenty to choose from on the menu, all good and friendly servers.

Went in and as soon as I sat I saw the male cook use his fingers after putting an egg on the place and broke the egg and pinched some off. Disgusting

This is my favorite 24hr spot in DeLand. The pancakes and biscuits are terrific. I only wish they offered pure honey for my biscuits. They have this syrup honey blend that I don't much care for. The fried catfish and grits is one of my favorites. They fry the catfish just right the right golden crisp. The menu is extensive, filled with country favorites. The servers are all very nice and personable. It's where the locals go to feel at home.

My daughter & I was craving Fried Gizzards. We decided to try big rig. 1st mistake was they gave my daughter fried livers and my gizzards was full of salty, soggy breading. Straight in the trash they both went. We had Burger King instead. Next time I will stick with Krispy Chic from the right fuel gas station. I know theirs are good.
