Terriblel. My wife sat in her chair felt something wet, when she got up she was soaked and had a large stain on her favorite white dress. I asked for her meal to be comped they said best he best they could do was a Cuban coffee at 830 in the evening! Unacceptable.$15 meal for a $30 stain.

Super cute restaurant. Always large portions and flavorful meals. I wanted to have leftovers but couldn't stop eating. Parking can be a bit challenging as there are designated spots for the attached hotel.

I’ve never felt compelled to write a bad review for a restaurant. But tonight was exceptional. Had reservations, we didn’t get seated till nearly 40 minutes after the reservation. Okay stuff happens not the end of the world.
Then we got water and drinks and promptly ignored for another 15-20 minutes. Food ordered, and a very long wait ensued. While we waited with empty cups, we eventually had another waiter stop by and get us drinks and was very apologetic of the situation and was going to see what could be done. Well it didn’t really matter they didn’t do anything about it.
We did eventually get our food but had to sit and wait even longer for silverware. An hour and half after our reservations…
The food is good, and it’s a shame I even feel compelled to write this because I enjoy this restaurant.
But the final cherry on top was when the waiter came by he was sure to tell us proudly that 20% has been added to the bill automatically for gratuity. At first I thought he said they took 20% off for the poor experience which would have been a nice gesture. Very nice of them to tip themselves for absolutely terrible service.

Five Stars for Chicas! Absolutely blown away by our dinner at Chicas! From start to finish, everything was exceptional—the ambiance, the service, and most importantly, the food. We ordered the Ropa Vieja, and it was hands down one of the best we’ve ever had. The shredded beef was incredibly tender and flavorful, simmered in rich spices and paired perfectly with the arroz on the side. Every bite was comforting, soulful, and satisfying.
The staff was welcoming and attentive without being overbearing, and the whole atmosphere had such a great energy—warm, vibrant, and relaxed. Chicas has definitely earned a spot on our “must return” list. If you’re looking for bold flavors and an unforgettable dining experience, this is the place!

I love this place. I order takeout regularly. I have tried most of the menu. The chefs at this place are amazing. The meat and seafood are always cooked perfectly. It's easily one of my favorite restaurants in deland.
