Never in my life have I been told that “you people” need to leave a restaurant until tonight at Chili’s in DeLand.
From the start, our dining experience was problematic. One burger was severely undercooked, another was overcooked, and the way the food was handled was unprofessional, you could literally hear the patty being slammed onto the plate. We returned the food to be remade, which should not have been an issue.
While waiting for our corrected meals, we watched multiple tables around us, who arrived after us, receive their food with no delay. Then, to make matters worse, my cousin noticed an extra charge on her bill and simply asked for it to be corrected.
Instead of handling the situation respectfully, the manager came to our table and told the entire group that we needed to leave. The manager was rude, dismissive, and the use of the phrase “you people” was offensive and racist.
This was humiliating, unnecessary, and completely unacceptable customer service. No one deserves to be treated that way.
I will never step foot in this Chili’s again, and I strongly encourage corporate to address the behavior and training of their staff immediately.

We ordered food: a burger and salad for takeout. I asked for my burger to be medium well. I was told it won't be pink. I asked, so no pink? Yes, no pink. My burger was bloody inside and not warm. The salad was over stuffed with lettuce, and 2 small pieces of chicken on top. This was severely disappointing for the $40 it cost and time we waited. Better quality control, cooks knowing the right temps for food.

Soooo ordered 3 entries totaling nearly $70. Waited at the restaurant. Got home and cut into my steak… dry, brick! Not Medium!!!! The fries are plastic and cold like the mash! It’s egregious given the money.

I cannot describe the pain i feel, most that come to this chilis described the waiter “john” as amazing, im sad to say he passed away three weeks ago and me and my family were regulars, he was the best, he knew our orders by heart, and worked till he couldnt, he was an amazing person and the staff i talked to were heartbroken, it was so sudden

The Deland store is great, if there is ever a problem they fix it. Johnny and summer are wonderful. The managers come check on us frequently.
Angel was amazing! Super friendly, very attentive, and made sure everything was perfect the whole time. Our food came out quickly, and Angel checked in just the right amount. You can tell they really care about their guests highly recommend asking for Angel if you visit!

Love the food here. My family and I always order from here. My favorite is the Ancho Salmon with the mexican rice and broccoli. I love it so much I could eat it everyday. My daughter loves the pepper pals chicken strips and my husband gets the surf and turf sirloin and shrimp with the loaded mashed potatoes and the Texas cheese fries, and it's always cooked so good.
