Birria is pretty good. Carne asada is only okay. They only have beer for alcohol. Their juices are overly sweet and not fresh. Chips were stale.Service is mediocre. Much more a place you order for delivery than dine in.

I did not like my taco salad. It had plenty of meat, for sure, but it just wasn’t that tasty. I do not recommend.

The birria tacos are so fire. Idk what the small hot sauce cup is but that stuff is amazing. The corn tortillas are so good too. Love ordering pickup from here

I've been taking advantage of the taco tuesday deal here for weeks. 5 authentically made tacos for $6. Can't be it. But today was my last day, sinply because of who they choose to have behind the counter. It's always these little teenagers who have no idea what customer service is or how to talk to another human.
There's been multiple times that I've put in an order with a coke, just to walk to the parking lot and realize they didn't put the coke with my order.
Today, I called to order on my lunch break. The phone rang for about 3 mins. Called back, same thing. So I went up there on my limited time and asked if the phones were on, one of the kids behind the counter picked up the phone, hit a key on it (taking it off of mute) and then just said "what would you like to order?" Wtf??
So just before I walked back in, I called the same number, just to see if I was right that she had taken the phone off of mute. Phone rings once, and miraculously! The same kid answers. Confirming what I already knew.

Advice to the owner:
Please hire people that actually do their job so you don't continue customers. After today, I'm done with this place.

When you’re in DeLand, try to come to El Taco Rico Mexican Kitchen. I went with my dad and brother to this restaurant and wasn’t disappointed. I ordered the taco salad which was phenomenal. The only reason I gave this restaurant a 4 was because the place seemed a bit old.

I have been craving tacos all day and when I say this place satisfied every need that I didn't even know I needed. Absolutely delicious (Im still eating as writing this). I also tried horchata for the first time here and it BLEW my mind away at how delicious it is!!

The California burrito is absolutely massive and delicious! I was only able to eat 1/4 of it because of how big it was! Definitely recommend!
