My husband and I just tried this place for the first time and we loved it. The food was so so good and the hospitality was amazing. Alyssa was the sweetest and made sure the kitchen was accommodating to my husbands allergy. 10/10 we will definitely be back.

I had a lovely time at Mongoose, it is nestled inside a quaint house with a side porch which added to the adorable atmosphere. I brought my dog inside with me and they were so kind to him and made sure he always had some water. Our waitress Alyssa absolutely killed it and was always making sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely return here again when I come back to DeLand.

Great food, and service. My family and I always enjoy this spot. You really can't go wrong with the menu but some of our favs are the hot & spicy noodles, ramen, soba noodles, and we always order the Dandan noodles when they're on the menu. They have a nice selection of sake, and we enjoyed dessert for the first time. Absolutely delicious lemon mousse cake which was a perfect finish to our meal. So happy to have this restaurant in DeLand!
Recently went there on a Monday…yes, they’re open on Monday! The food was delicious and fresh! We had Dan Dan, chicken wings, mango cake, and fried rice. All of it was delicious. The waitress Alyssa took our phone order for take out and was very professional but also warm and friendly. She seems to like her job. That says a lot about a place. And don’t ever try the homemade cake. You won’t be able to stop thinking about it after you taste it. I don’t want anyone to know about it so there’s plenty for us. Seriously. Withdrawals on weds thurs when they take the day off! Great restaurant and we highly recommend it to diners who want fresh food prepared with love.

You can tell a lot of love goes into the food here. If you get the spicy noodles make sure you get a beer to cool things off. Worth it!

I am not sure about some of these reviews that say the food is salty because our food was excellent and absolutely not salty. I ordered mine spicy and although I may reconsider that choice, (lol) the food was super delicious. The service was great. The atmosphere was cool and creative. Will definitely be back.
