MoonDancers Oyster Bar & Grill

This a cool place to chill. I went here after work a couple days ago and drank a few Coronas. The bar tenders were really nice and they gave me fresh tacos for free!

Awful. It’s not really a restaurant. It doesn’t have menus but a really disgusting looking “food bar” that sits in a dark corner and has no heating lamps and doesn’t look like it’s been cleaned for a very long time. I wouldn’t eat anything from here. The website and photos are very deceiving. The outside patio is pretty and nice but no way to eating at this joint.

Can't beat the $8 shrimp. Had to keep going to the bar to get drinks. This is atmosphere for a Friday night- karaoke ?.

The tacos ? are a great deal on Tuesdays. That’s our favorite day to go. The fried shrimp dinner is big enough to share and delicious. Service is sometimes a little slow but just go when you’re not in a hurry.

Have always loved this location in DeLand and we were not disappointed. Great staff, owner, atmosphere and oh my that oyster special is Divine.

First off the staff/bartenders are very fun. The atmosphere is always great. The food is awesome. I can get the daily special and be totally satisfied. Will hit it up for shrimp tomorrow!

The food was good. The service was terrible. All the servers were to Busy with karaoke. We had to Chase down someone to pay our bill I was overcharged on my bill. Still not straightened out. Our server was so busy. Trying to pick up the guy at the bar she did not help with anything.

The food was goodbut probably the worst service I have ever had. The waitresses were only interested in singing karaoke with canned music that was far too loud for dinner. Food took a while and after eating had to and look for someone to pay the bill. The bill was split three ways and one of us was charged double in error. Had to flag down a waitress by shining a glashlight at her to get her attention. She could not get it sorted so we went to the inside bar as the waitress had vanished and asked for the manager. She admitted the error and said she would fix it. Teo days later the double charge on the card is still there. When we went to the inside bar our waitress was far too busy chatting up a customer and totally ignored us. If I could give less than one star, I would.

Got 4 dozen oysters for 75$ and they had rotten ones in there smelled like bad bait and after you get one of them you don't want the rest. I pointed it out to the server she smelled it and gagged but I got stuck with the full bill for them. I'll never be back and become loyal to blackbeards

New favorite place!! The outside seating is under large trees. There are lights out there to make it magical! The food has been excellent.

This place was the best and our server, the courtyard bartender, was sweet and funny. This interior of this restaurant is nice with a spacious relaxed atmosphere, but the courtyard in the back was absolutely wonderful in its design and the way the landscaping makes the place really shine.The food was great but there is not much beyond seafood in case you are not a seafood lover. LIkewise, most of the menu is fried and there is little in the way of baked or boiled meals.We'll definitely be back!

Definitely our new favorite! Wonderful atmosphere, fantastic service. Anthony and Lila are awesome, but our service has never been bad!! $.80 oysters on Thursday, half pound peel and eat shrimp on Friday, live music, pool table, darts, and beautiful outside area.

The pictures show the beautiful backyard, not the trashy bar inside. Because it was so hot, 12 of us went inside thinking this was SOME WHAT of a restaurant because of their menu. Well, even calling a week ahead, knowing we were celebrating my mother's 66th bday, they still were not prepared, with the bartender running the entire restaurant. It got worse from there, 40 minutes after we ordered, our food walked through the from door in grocery bags from save-a-lot. One meal came out at a time. The cook walked out after he finished our order. The best part?The owner lives behind the restaurant and was aware of all of it.Never again.

I met a friend for lunch at Moondance on a Friday afternoon. Unfortunately, they were out of oysters, which is why we went there.They have them for .60 on Thursdays so we were a day late to catch that deal or any at all.They were also out of lemonade, which my friend drinks, so that was a bust too.They did have peel and eat shrimp on special for $6.00 a pound though, so we ordered that and some seafood spring rolls, the rolls are definitely worth ordering IMO.So all in all I gave this establishment 4 stars because the waitstaff was very pleasant and attentive.I plan to go back again on a Thursday to cash in on the 60 cent oyster deal too!
