The bagels come with the perfect amount of schmear. The bagel themselves however were not made right. Toppings(salt, everything, onion whichever) should be over entire bagel. It was only on the top. In addition, of all the bagel places we've been to, the salt on the bagel has been course. On these it was like they took table salt and dumped it on top. It was very fine and crusty. No good. The store itself was a bit unclean. The glass to the topping bar was covered in posters and the glass was dirty and grimy. The bagel cabinet had built-up toppings pushed in between the rack and glass. Showing while the bottom was cleaned regularly, those spots were missed. We really wanted to like it and be regular customers but food quality is important and this place fell short.

Oh my goodness!! These bagels were DELICIOUS. I got the jalapeno cheddar egg and cheese (with pepper jack) and I could barely finish my own because everyone basically took a piece, on addition to their own. Every person we came with said this place was amazing! The workers were also so kind and helpful, we got hot chocolate for the kids and they offered to make it warm on their own. The owner was working and was so nice and shared a little more about this place. 10/10 recommend!

Expect a wait if you’re coming at prime breakfast time on the weekend. The wait is definitely worth it though and warranted!
Perfect chew and texture that you want in a bagel. There’s lots of options to choose from and various shmears. There are no dairy free options.
We got the egg sandwich on onion and the lox on everything. Lox is served as an open face which made it convenient for sharing!
I highly recommend stopping by.

Best bagels north of Miami! No place in Central Florida is even close. I know because I’ve searched. Plus service was beyond excellent. Deland Bagels delivered freshly baked bagels to Tropical Resort and Marina on Lake Beresford, 7:30am Saturday morning for breakfast at our 49th annual motorcycle club Run. Perfect.
They also make great sandwiches in a charming downtown Deland bakery. Go there.
Outstanding bagels! If you love NY style bagels, this is your place. I've had blueberry, whole wheat and pumpernickel. All taste exactly like what I used to get in NYC. Very chewy and hearty. Owner takes the time to chat with customers.. makes sure everything is to their liking. Great place!
