I've been going here for a long time. I always get a quart of blueberry cheesecake ice cream. It is nothing like it used to be. Tasted like pure cream cheese and off brand jelly. It was disgusting. Also the cones had hard pieces in it tht you could not bite through. I sat in line for 30 minutes and got to the window with 3 kids with pink blue and purple hair and one girl even had on a cat collar. Such a shame. They need a stricter dress code. I don't like to write bad reviews but that's how disappointing it was.

Rodeo whip has good ice cream but I never go because the drive thru is at least a 30-40 minutes wait. They take at least 5-15 minutes per car. I decided to go this time, but then regretted it. They’re losing out on business from many customers who also don’t have the time to wait. Other businesses like Jeremiah’s and Chick-Fil-A use attendants outside to help with their service, attend the customers outside, start the orders immediately, and have the lines move quickly. I think since they only have 1 drive thru window and no intercom to take the orders at the beginning of the line, they should look into having one of their employees taking orders outside at the line. There really isn’t an excuse or good reason to explain why they don’t attend customers quickly. It truly is a work ethic and customer service issue.

Sorry but this ice cream shop has gone downhill.Three employees behind counter and all three of us elderly adults were ignored while we were standing in line for service.Just like always employees looked scrubby and acted like they were too busy to sell ice cream. When I arrived there was no one at the drive through,just us customers patiently waiting for at least 20 minutes plus and not even a greeting or an excuse as to why service was soooooo slow. This use to be a great place to buy ice cream.Now it is too expensive and there is obviously something wrong.

Have lived in DeLand 50 years. This place is a DeLand’s fixture. But I’ve watched it go into steady decline of weight. The place is run by children who know nothing about customer service. I stood at the window for 15 minutes to place an order, and not one of the three children acknowledged my presence. They were busy, but acknowledge me, for god sake. Also does not look as clean as it used to. A group of eight people walk in and step up to another window and one of the children races up to take their order. Remarkable. Left without ordering. Certainly will never go back. Suggest you go to the wonderful ice cream. Shop in downtown Deland. Far, far superior to rodeo whip. It’s a sad day.
