I don’t usually write reviews but this one I had to. I went here the first time on 5/23/25 when my brother was in town. I needed to go to Daytona for something and saw this place on the way there. On the way back we stopped by for a drink and some appetizers. They were okay and I thought one day I would try a meal. On 10/18/25 I stopped by on my way to Biketoberfest. First a lady walked off and asked what I wanted to drink which I ordered iced tea. She left and another lady walked up shortly after that asked what i wanted to drink. That lady ended up being my server. Once my drink was delivered my server can over to ask me if I was ready to order. I ordered the Philly cheese steak and I asked for the $2.50 up charge for onion rings. When I received my food the server brought it, set it over to the left of me where I had to reach out to grab it to bring it where I could eat it, and then immediately after she set it down she turn and took off. She didn’t ask if I needed anything else or even give me a chance to look at my food to see if it was correct. As you can see by the picture both were less than desirable. The cheese steak looked like they threw the meat, onions, and peppers in a food processor and ground them all up then poured some kind of liquid cheese into it. For the $2.50 up charge over chips or coleslaw I got 3 onion rings. When I lifted my sandwich I did find about a 1 inch piece of an onion rings underneath it. The server was no where to be found and I asked and another lady, who I believe was working as the bartender, to come over. I told her I paid for the up charge for onion rings and is it normal to only get 3 onion rings. All she did was shrug her shoulders and walked away. Several times while I was eating my server walked by but never asked me how was my meal. Now for a little history, this same woman that is my server had been complaining about trying to set up a party there at the restaurant. She continued to complain to other employees how she is having to do everything. Though I was very upset about the service I did leave a $2.00 tip, she did refill my drink once.

After a long day of riding our bikes with my senior friends we ended up at Riverside for a rest and enjoy the river view. We ran into this grill and decided to try it. The food was good, the view amazing while the sunsets. Atmosphere we created but what stood out the most was the service we received from Brittany. A beautiful server which gave us an incredible service. Thank you Brittany for your kindness, you are truly stunning. God bless you!

Best fried haddock I've had in DeLand! The food is fantastic and there is something for everyone with an ample variety of menu selections. I've been a few times and this is becoming a go to for a family dinner outing. The atmosphere is great, the St John's River holds a place in my heart and being able to catch a sunset on the river while enjoying a nice meal is something special!
