This place is a vibe! Feels like home and the food is fresh and delicious. Our choice for steak dinners in the area. You feel like your eating at your grandma's house here. Lots of kid's options all for 6.50 a meal. Service is great and everyone seems to work together, which makes your experience even smoother when they are packed full! Definitely a must try and great for celebrating anything.

We have been looking for a great steakhouse from St. Augustine down to Edgewater and every place in between. We have now found it. All I can say is wow, great flavor and very tender. The fried shrimp was fresh and lightly floured and cooked just right. The service was spot on. We will be asking for him when we come back. Definitely worth the drive from Edgewater.

Been here at least 5 to 6 times and loved it. Not this time. Spent 40 on a filet mignon and ordered medium. Came out rare and then well done. No pink what so ever. You could see and taste that it was microwaved. What a shame especially on my Birthday. Not sure I'll be back. Waitress seemed annoyed and not too friendly.

This past weekend my husband and I decided to give this place a second chance (our first visit here was similar to this instance) and we’ve decided we will not be back. Our waitress barely interacted w us, didn’t ask if we needed anything, how the food was etc, we asked for steak sauce and she came back w one single sauce cup….like what?? I wanted to order some wine but never even got the chance. We were sat close to the kitchen and you can tell this place is not ran in a professional manner, the employees all looked miserable, tired & getting an attitude w each other. Our side salads were brought very far apart from each other…I saw certain tables offered a bread basket but most were not, including us. Our $40 steaks were ok, very fatty and platted wrong. From my observation this place was just showing a lot of carelessness, lots of young employees (even though our waitress was middle aged and the same from first visit, who barely spoke to us) we just felt judged by our age like we wouldn’t tip or something cause we’re younger. You just know when things are weird and this place definitely is, it’s like they pick and choose who gets good service. Also the lighting is wack, I had ceiling light shining in my eye the whole time. It’s a shame because it’s a beautiful place but ran very poorly.

The Deland Stockyard offers a local, relaxed atmosphere with a live band, Reclaimed Wood, with outside covered bar and dining.
This is a great place to go for a special occasion or just because…..
It was an enjoyable surprise from beginning to end including the BEST fried mushrooms EVER, thanks to Sean’s recommendation.
We had the Ribeye Medium which was done to perfection.
What a pleasant surprise right in my backyard.

Disappointed, we had always heard good things about this place and decided to try it on a Saturday for lunch. It took 45 minutes for 2 sirloins and 1 clam strips, the food came we got 2 really fatty prime ribs, that we didn't order and way overcooked clams, the waitress took the prime ribs off the plates, left the sides. 30 minutes later we get new clams that were good, and 2 overcooked sirloins and now we have cold sides. No real effort to correct the mistakes. There were maybe 10 people in the restaurant. I won't be going back.
