Venue 142 is an absolute gem in Downtown Deland. Recently they hosted a Selfies with Santa activity that was beyond words. I was able to have my kids photographed with Santa and even experience "snow." The activity ended at 1, and myself arriving late a 12:45 the staff was gracious enough to allow me to enter with my kids despite being so close to closing. I am truly grateful and impressed by the kindness and professionalism at this facility.

I had my baby shower at 142 with around 75 people. It was absolutely amazing! The room was beautiful and had a lot of natural light, and the food was delicious. We elected a buffet style brunch. I would highly recommend this place for any celebration.

You will not regret booking your event with Venue 142! We held our wedding reception there on Oct. 21, 2023 and it was absolutely perfect. I believe we booked with Venue 142 in February and as I developed questions, I would request a meeting. Despite having back to back to back events, they always made time to sit down with me and go over my questions. The day of? Everything was spotless and the staff was so responsive. The venue itself is unique with brick walls and flowing white drapes. My guests walked in expecting the same old ballroom and were really surprised and pleased. Then came the food. No dried chicken from a hotel here, the owner is known for amazing food. Most of my guests went for seconds and even my friends with dietary issues were floored not only by the service, but by what they were served. Every table I visited raved about the food! The highest praise is that my niece who unfortunately made a large deposit on a venue for her wedding without checking out Venue 142, is booking Venue 142 to cater her wedding. In her words, “the food was banging!”: She even wants a similar menu. You will not go wrong with Venue 142!

Venue 142 threw the most amazing Halloween party I've ever been to this weekend! There was incredible food, an open bar, and plenty of surprises for the guests. The decor was tastefully spooky and left all of the attendees in awe. I cannot wait to book my own event through them because these people obviously know how to throw a party! Well done, Venue 142!

This is a tough review to write as we had good and bad experiences. The venue was a surprise booking from a friend. She was the initial point of contact. When she became frustrated with trying to reach someone we took over. We had a meeting at the location to go over what we were looking for. After invites went out, we were called and advised the room had been double booked. They moved us into their other room at a deeply discounted rate which was appreciated. We were advised the menu could be changed with no issue. We did tweak it to less expensive items. We were called again a few weeks before the wedding and told they had a huge Halloween event planned after the wedding. They wanted to come in and decorate the night before. (Halloween decor which was the wedding theme). We said that was fine. A few weeks before the wedding we had an in person meeting, went over the final head count, amount of tables, DJ, color of accent linens and layout. When we arrived nothing was set up like it was supposed to be. No chairs set up with an aisle. All tables were decorated. It was beautiful BUT I had been told we were responsible for table decor and I had purchased $200+ in items. The venue tried to say they were doing the wedding basically at cost and they didn’t know we had a DJ. Not true. They also tried to blame communication problems on us. However the emails/contact people they had, stated they were very slow to respond. We accommodated the change in venue due to their error and decor (we had our own). We were told the menu could be tweaked then told they made special changes for us? While it was, items were missing. Upon arrival I was very upset. They ended up moving chairs and an aisle created. They stated they were “here” for us and what could they do. We also arrived at 9am to decorate and basically sat around since nothing had to be done. The cake was not there and when I called the bakery they were told the venue called and said to bring it later! We had wanted it there at 9:30. Pros: beautiful decor, delicious food, nice space. Cons: communication, double booking, parking.At the end of the day , they were married, and were happy. I personally would not feel comfortable using this company again. We were very accommodating to their double booking, ect. They need to be better organized and make their payment process easier.
One amazing all inclusive wedding venue; they handled everything! The venue was beautiful, food was amazing, the cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious! Samantha our wedding planner was so helpful and helped keep the stress levels down! I would recommend this venue to anybody!

Our wedding was on May 6, 2023 at Venue 142. There was some hiccups along the way but Samantha came in and pulled it all together for us. Our wedding was just how we imagined it would be. Everyone made sure our day was perfect. We can’t thank them enough and will definitely use them in the future.
