Having walked past Avalon since it opened, looking at people eating it has been on our list of places to go. We have been to the bar at Avalon but this was our first time eating dinner there. It’s a great place for drinks. It’s a relaxing, comfortable bar with both inside or outside bar stools. We took an outside table to eat at. It was a beautiful cool February night.
We started off having drinks as we looked over the menu. Two of us had Mojitos made with One With Life tequila. My wife had a ranch water with One with Life tequila. This was the best Mojito I’ve ever had, and my first Mojito made with tequila. It wasn’t too sweet as many Mojitos are, letting you taste the tequila. After all, isn’t that why you get a tequila Mojito?
We ordered the Shishito peppers and the crab cakes as appetizers. Both were delicious with our drinks. For dinner two of us had Fish Tacos and my wife had a salad with grilled shrimp. We were all happy with our choices!
Parking: Atlantic Avenue Street parking is Valet only after 5PM. You can find free street parking a few blocks away or use Park Mobile for nearby street parking. The best option is Old School Parking Garage a short walk from Avalon which is free until 4PM and $5 after 4:00.
Kid-friendliness: Not the best place for children.

Went there for dinner with 3 out of town guests. It was our first time and will be last. The waiters looked like they forgot to wash their shirts, literally had stains on them. Food was ok for some of us. One of the guest ordered shrimp-pasta, what a shame. If I was a manager and see that plate coming from kitchen would return it back right away. I was expecting cook would spent few seconds to may be decorate the plate for better visuals. Overall was not a good experience.

So happy we went here. If I could rate over a 5 I would. And I would rate over a 5 again and again. Marco was the best ever. Someone needs to give him a raise. This was the first place I went in Delray and I’m not sure I’m going to go anywhere else.

Our server Friday night was excellent and attentive. She said it was her first day but she seemed like a natural. The Ahi tuna poke was excellent and I enjoyed the spice of the Vodka Rigatoni.

After a long 12-hour shift, I was craving a Ribeye late at night. I called the front desk, and despite the kitchen being about to close, they assured me they could accommodate my request—an excellent display of genuine hospitality. I placed my order over the phone, and by the time I arrived at the restaurant about 20-25 minutes later, my dinner was hot, fresh, and ready for me. The service was seamless, and the attention to detail truly stood out. I chose to sit at the bar, where the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the bartenders were attentive and friendly. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish, and I appreciated the team going above and beyond to make it happen.
