I recently hosted an event at the Avalon Beach House and had such a wonderful experience! Zach at the front desk was incredible professional, attentive, and truly helped make this surprise celebration seamless. The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for a big surprise party. A huge thank you to the entire Avalon team, especially our server Erica and Zach, for making everything run so smoothly. Highly recommend 10/10 experience!

recently visited Avalon speakeasy and I have to say it was a disappointing experience. DJ was completely in his own world, playing music that failed to resonate with the crowd. Not a single person was dancing, which says a lot about the vibe he created. To make matters worse, he came off as rude, which detracted from the overall atmosphere.
It’s such a shame because Avalon used to be a fantastic speakeasy with a lively ambiance. Unfortunately, with the current state of the music and the DJ's attitude, it no longer lives up to its reputation.

Came in for happy hour and had such a great experience thanks to our waitress, Alexa. She was super friendly, attentive, and made great wine recommendations. The service really made the evening — she went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend stopping by and asking for Alexa!

I visited The Avalon on Saturday night, and while the ambiance was quite nice, the service unfortunately fell short of expectations. I spent a considerable amount on dinner and drinks, but we faced multiple challenges along the way. Our waitress made some mistakes, which we were willing to overlook—everyone has an off night now and then. However, the table next to us experienced similar issues, with part of their order not arriving at all.
At one point, our waitress disappeared entirely, and another waiter stepped in to assist us. He was polite and attentive, which was a refreshing change. After our meal, we learned about a speakeasy that wouldn’t be open to the public until later, so we asked if our attire was suitable for coming back. He assured us we were dressed just right.
However, upon returning an hour later, we were unexpectedly turned away at the door because my designer black jeans were considered inappropriate. This was baffling, especially since two staff members had previously given us the green light on our outfits. We requested to speak with a manager for clarification. When he finally approached us, he yelled from a distance about the dress code, specifically mentioning “no ripped jeans,” which came off as quite unprofessional. Instead of engaging in a proper conversation, he chose to convey his message with an attitude and quickly walked away.
Overall, the experience was disappointing and highlighted a lack of communication among the staff. Given this, I can’t recommend this restaurant to either locals or visitors, as it seems overrated and in dire need of improvements in both service and professionalism.

We’re waiting to board our flight back to the UK and wanted to leave a review for what we have decided was the best restaurant we visited during our two-week trip, Avalon Beach House in Delray! From the moment we were greeted at the front door by Tim, it was just such a pleasure. We sat at a great table outside with a view of Atlantic Avenue and all the vibrancy the town possesses. Our server was new but could not have done a better job! She was well supported by other team members and everyone was so friendly, helpful, and added to the wonderful experience. We even had a visit from one of the managers, Max, who took the time to have a chat with us. I hope this helps others to decide to dine at Avalon because it was far above all the other restaurants on our trip. Thanks again to you lovely folks at Avalon. We truly appreciated your efforts!
