I have been to some fine steakhouses - So my experience is based on those. The restaurant is quite nicely done on a very lively street in Del Rey good energy. FOOD; My filet was well prepared and not over seasoned - I appreciate that. Sauteed, spinach was fine as well. Tough to mess up sauteed, spinach. The collie flower app looked quite interesting although that's where it ended. The octopus appetizer was a bit overcooked and dry and lacked any real distinctive flavor. If someone had told me the mashed potatoes were made from a powdered mix I would believe them. On the positive side the service was quite good- And our beverages never went dry. Dinner for 4 with tip about $800.00 . I have spent that much and more at other restaurants and feltIt was quite well worth it. But not in this case.

I came here for the first time last year when I was visiting a friend in town and I special requested another visit. My second meal was every bit as memorable - our food and drinks were so well crafted/flavored and we loved the atmosphere both in the restaurant and the outdoor dining area. Perfectly executed meal and friendly service.

I was a little disappointed with this restaurant, not with the food.. it was delicious. I had the the Pear Salad, we shared the Lump Crab appetizer and my husband had the Halibut. It was all very, very good. Our waiter could have been more friendly and attentive. He had no name badge and didn't tell us his name (we had to ask) very unprofessional and almost rude. Knowing my husband had a dairy allergy, he still brought out a dish that had dairy. For the price of food and drinks, I believe, things should have gone way better. And it was also my husband's Birthday, which I told the waiter.. who said nothing until after the bill came. We would probably go back for the food, not the service.

First class food and service. Worth the cost.Wait staff is very professional. Interesting appetizer - we had both the tuna and cauliflower. Our entrees was the halibut and swordfish and a filet mignon. Price for the fish was reasonable $38 and $45 and came with a small portion of vegetables. Steaks are over fifty dollars. We added the spinach and mushrooms. We shared a chocolate flourless cake for dessert - chocolatey and creamy. Ate outside - perfect table at corner. Inside is much quieter than other neighboring restaurants.Bottom line - yes you can spend a lot here but you don’t have two. Much more elegant than other Atlantic Ave restaurants. We will return.

Well with the mixed reviews I was a little hesitant but wanted to try out Avalon Steakhouse. I can say I was pleasantly surprised and had a great experience last night. Food was delicious from the oysters, charred octopus to the delicious flourless chocolate cake! My fiancé and I celebrated her birthday and she had the roasted chicken which was amazing. I had the filet mignon which was cooked to perfection. Everything was reasonably priced considering what we ordered. A special shoutout to the bartender Christina who greeted us at the bar when we arrived and finished our evening with great drinks and a kind and pleasant demeanor. All in all we had a great experience so thank you Avalon Steak and Seafood. We will definitely be back for more!

Great bar to enjoy an excellent dinner, this is a “go to” place for me for consistent great cocktails and food. Last night we had the grilled octopus and I ordered the roasted chicken for the first time which was outstanding. It sat upon wonderfully creamy mashed, with baby carrots. As a side for the octopus, we ordered “the fries”, let me just say that they have the best fries in Delray Beach, end of story, hot, fresh, salty. Of the authentic French variety, thin, crisp, but soft in the narrow center, always perfectly cooked!!Great meal with a great martiniVegetarian options: Not particularly vegan friendlyParking: Parking is street, catch as catch canWheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp on the side of the building for access and while the bar area may not be accommodating for wheelchairs, the restaurant has plenty of room

I didn’t eat in the restaurant here. I attended a private event in the back room. It’s actually a really nice space with an awesome bar. The reason I’m giving them such a low rating is because they served us undercooked chicken and a few of the people in our group got sick.Cooking chicken properly is one of the most important things that any kitchen should do. And one problem was that it’s so ridiculously dark in that room that you couldn’t really see the food well enough to notice that it wasn’t fully cooked. If they can’t get something as simple as chicken skewers right, then I don’t think I would trust enough to go back here for dinner.

Management/Ownership wouldn't take a free sample from a local business. Consider this when they are speaking to you about how much they care. Treat everyone as a potential customer.

Dined with a group of 4 and Noone had anything but rave reviews. From our appetizers of salads, octopus, crab and the fiery shrimp nothing failed to deliver! We ordered different steaks and I once againnhad the halibut which was cooked to perfection. We even devoured some yummy deserts. Josh our waiter rounded oout a perfect dining experience

The bar area is a horrible place to have tables for diners. It was extremely noisy with people getting drunk. You couldn't even here the conversation at your own table. People standing around behind my table getting drunk made for an obnoxious dining experience for the price you pay.

Great ambience! Great menu! Great service! Great experience! Thank you Mit for always making us feel like VIPs.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Avalon Steak & Seafood and it was truly a fantastic experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive, making sure our glasses were always full and that we had everything we needed. The star of the show, of course, was the food. The steaks were cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful, and the seafood dishes were fresh and delicious. Each bite was a taste sensation that left us wanting more. The presentation of the dishes was also top-notch, adding to the overall dining experience. The ambience of the restaurant was also noteworthy. We truly felt like we were dining in a fine dining establishment. Overall, Avalon Steak & Seafood exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to go back. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a five-star dining experience. Thank you to the staff at Avalon for a truly memorable evening.
