Be aware that they don’t advertise correct prices. They raised everything almost a dollar did not tell me until payment and they told me they have old menus. They charge seven dollars for a cup of soup. And they now charge $5.30 for a bagel and cream cheese. It also takes ridiculously long to get your order. How hard is it to toast a bagel and cream cheese and pour a cup of soup… they are not even busy.

While it is true there are better bagels, this place has an reliable bacon egg and cheese. And, iced coffee cubes. I choose it over the Other New York bagel chain in the plaza 5/5 times.

Unfriendly counter service, unable to answer any menu questions & did not answer. Matzo ball soup salty and Matzo ball completely cold inside. Could not eat it. Corned beef sandwich was cold but at least it was not salty. Potato salad had zero flavor of any kind. Tables had a sanitized sign on them but were dirty. Big restaurant and they use ONLY disposables, so much plastic and styrofoam, so much waste...but then this is Florida where we don't recycle and we don't believe in sustainability or climate change.

3/22/2023I along with friend had lunch at this restaurant today. We had the lobster roll that was recommended to us by the counterman to order. It was the worst lobster roll I ever had; as was my friends. The lobster was made up of lobster claws; no lobster bodies. The size of the roll was huge with to much bread inside the roll and not well grilled Actually the lobster wss uneatable and stringy.

I am from New England. To be specific, from Cape Cod. After moving to south Florida a few years ago, one of our primary missions has been to find good fresh seafood (at a reasonable price) like we had on the Cape. We have looked everywhere. Finally we came across Brighton Beach Bagel in Delray. The owners are experienced restauranteurs from New England. The seafood menu is authentic and the food is absolutely delicious. We can get great NE Clam Chowder!!! The fried clams and lobster rolls are awesome!! I highly recommend BBB&B!

A friend told us about the seafood at Brighton Beach Bagel & Bakery, so that is what we went to try. This place is not fancy but it was clean. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Everyone was friendly. The food was served hot and as ordered. It was very good and it was nice to find a place with whole belly clams, outside of New England. Our group ordered a lobster salad sandwich (medium size), New England clam chowder and clam cakes, fried whole belly clams and a grilled chicken sandwich. Everything was tasty. Clam cakes were a little dense, but still very good. I looked at what they had at the bakery, but did not buy anything. It was about 6:30 so the bakery cases were not as full as they probably were in the morning, but what they had looked good - especially the Linzer cookies, which I will go back to buy. We thought everything was reasonably priced and we will go back.

Bagels are OK. Definitely much better places around. Ordered 2 egg special. All you could taste was the cooking spray they use on the grill. Taste was so strong we had to throw them away. Always check your order. They are known to forget something. And yes, they forgot 1 of 3 bagels. I have given this place chance after chance to impress. Yet they continue to make the same mistakes. The only reason they are still open is location. Close to retirement communities with people who like "ok" food that is a short drive. If your a local or just a visitor I highly recommend moving on and trying some other amazing breakfest/bagel spots around town.

The gentleman taking my order was very personable and his customer service is the only reason I gave this place 3 stars or else it would have been lower. Some boss lady working there was snapping back at him for no good reason and his calm demeanor was admirable. I ordered the special of the day to-go: a medium size lobster roll with one side (I chose onion rings). The lobster looked like it was literally just slung in the roll, all haphazardly placed. No seasoning, no mayo, no flavor, no butter on the roll, nothing (wish I took a picture because it didn't look like the ones others posted)...the barely toasted bread roll was so stale it literally fell apart when trying to pick it up. The lobster had a slight funky chemical taste to it like a type of cleaner product. And the onion rings tasted like they had been sitting under a heat lamp, mediocre at best, tepid temp and not crunchy. For expensive amount I paid I have serious buyers remorse though South Florida has some of the consistently worst restaurants so I'm not surprised. First time, last time.

The menu and food is pretty good but they are understaffed and run slow. One guy will call back asking for line support or to take phone orders and it usually takes awhile before he gets it. One time I heard one of the older lady employees tell him “people will wait” when he called back saying the line was getting long. If you come prepare to wait at least 20-30 minutes before you order and get your food. When they are busy, orders usually come out wrong, my husband ordered Taylor ham on his breakfast sandwich, all he got was an egg and cheese. I ordered fries with my lobster roll and it came out with coleslaw. You get a very generous portion of lobster on the regular roll. I was pleasantly surprised. If they could keep the line moving and were a little more consistent, we would be regulars.

Ate dinner there. Their lobster rolls are the best around. They have 3 different sizes. The middle, called jumbo, was more than enough for me. They come with a side. Definitely recommend

Here are two reasons why this place is still open- a place that has consistently served me the wrong order or just plain ol' bad food. From over cooked eggs, (unless eggs are asked for "well done", they should be cooked to a specific consistency"- cooking 101) hockey puck sausage patty's, burned bacon...The quality of their food is also subpar- in the end, what's best here are the mediocre bagels -One: This place caters to a community of mostly retired and elderly people. What I've learned about Florida is, the above mentioned demographic of folks are creatures of habit and since they are mainly widows or widowers - cooking meals at home is almost non existent so they keep coming back because it's something to look forward to in the mornings, a place to socialize- however, that shouldn't get the owners off the hook with quality and taste of the food...Two: there are very few breakfast places where you can go in, order a bagel and coffee at the counter and be on your way- it's not NYC- so again, no incentive for the owners to do anything better...Did I mention, if you're coming in on your way to either work or an appointment- give yourself 30 minutes between the wait in line, the length of time ordering and actually getting your food. The two stars are for location and amount of seating both in and out of location...

We going this place online and wanted whole belly clams so we came after seeing a show at the Wick. Wow! The clams were tender, plentiful and delicious. The New England clam chowder was also great. Who would have thought that a place with this name would have great fried seafood We are Long Islanders and their clams were better than Bigelows and Popeis! We can't wait to return

5* for being a reliable, quality breakfast and lunch spot. Busy NY Deli ambiance gives way to outstanding fresh bagels, great French toast and breakfast sandwiches along with lunch-club sandwiches, NY style desserts (black & white cookies, Linzer raspberry cookies etc etc) throwing in with the sandwiches is the home style chicken soup and fresh squeezed OJ if you're under the weather-don't sleep on the clam chowder either! I highly recommend the Brighton Blaster iced coffee w coffee ice cubes!!! We've been coming to this spot for about 6 years every winter during our snowbird vacation. One extra * and shoutout goes to the manager behind the counter-today was our last day and after late check out we shot down Atlantic Ave to Brighton Beach for a Blaster to go and a few bags of their Hahns Crumb Cake Cookies (don't ask just buy a bag with a coffee or nice big glass of milk) to take back to Beantown with us. She was in the middle of a restaurant reset between lunch and dinner (they reopen at 4:30p) but when we explained we were on the way to the airport she said "hey no problem if you're using a card" so now we're on our way back with the last bit of Delray happiness!
