I don’t respect any place that will go and fire someone over their gender. Tisha was one of the best kava tenders there and she was fired after standing up for herself just because she’s trans. If you’re going to fire someone for their identity, you are going to lose a lot of respect and they are. Other kava tenders there were consistently slacking as I’ve seen when I was there. I’ve never liked riptides because the vibe there has always been off ever since I started going. Now I know why. If you support the LGBTQ+ community, you shouldn’t show up at riptides. To fire their only trans employee right before pride month is insane. Don’t go to riptides

I regret to say that I cannot endorse this establishment due to its failure to support long-term employees and its exhibition of transphobic behavior. A commitment to inclusivity and employee well-being is essential for fostering a positive environment, and this business has fallen short in both areas. Until these critical issues are addressed, I cannot recommend it to potential customers.

So I am writing this to paint a picture of what this looks like to the naked eye. It looks bad when a Kava Bar has 2 different names on it, that’s No.1. No.2 when you’re a Kavatender and the only thing on your mind is to get your dick wet at the end of the bar while a customer who wants a last Mitra tries waving him down for 10 minutes like “Hello” I am trying to spend money. Now what I am really upset about is how you charge someone 18% service charge on top of a $5.00 tip. Granted we go to many Kava Bars around Boca and Boynton and we have never encountered an 18% service charge. That makes no sense what so ever. We can go to other places and not charged $7.00 for small and dry Chicken tenders which should really cost $3-$4.00, I can understand if the chicken bites were larger or if it was a larger portion, but this was 5-6 small pieces, and charging an expensive price for food. Just for reference here is the bill. That service charge is dishonest in my opinion. If you’re charging customers for the price of using the clover that’s disgusting because clover charges $50.00/month to use their services. Either get a new payment processor. Or just stop charging service charges when you’re service already sucks and we have to wait for someone to get their dick wet.

This place is one of a kind. As soon as you walk in you feel at home. The staff and regulars are really nice and will treat you like family from the moment they meet you. It only took going there one time to become a regular myself! The drinks are great too, and strong.

It was ok... at best. The Kava was underwhelming, and they served in a plastic cup with ice. I'm used to shells at the places in Orlando. I've been to a bunch of common creative places over the course of my life, and this would be a little below average.

just a fun cool place to get some cava cum and hang out with some cool people, had the lowest couch I've ever sat on in my life. everyone seems friendly and the staff are attentive and try their best to make the drinks taste as good as they possibly can. wish they had some video games or a projector, playing movies or something, still cool though!

The reason I leave 5 stars just in general at #Bulakava Is because it's not just the atmosphere n the service. Which I also gave 5 stars for each, its because it is one of the coolest places and hangouts I've chilled at in a long time. I suggest anyone who even just wants to come here for a Snapple, Kratum or just to Play some pool and hangout with friends; this is the spot you wanna be!!
