Stumbled across Drift while visiting Delray Beach and stopped in for a cocktail. Drift has a wonderful atmosphere with many indoor and outdoor casual dining options. Our server Justin J. was friendly, attentive and suggested the Carlisle Cocojito as a guest favorite. My cocktail was refreshing and smooth. I ordered the hummus appetizer platter which was a little basic (hummus in a jar topped with olive tapenade, crackers and pickled vegetables)but flavorful. Overall a great experience!Parking: I parked in the parking garage which was pricy. If you’re visiting Drift I suggest the Valet parking as the hostess can validate your parking ticket.

I thought that the food was good not great. The service was fantastic and so was the atmosphere. I was not unhappy at all it’s just that I have been to better places. The prices were reasonable, the waiters were great. I would go back again, but I do believe that there are a lot more restaurants in that area which are better than this one. But it still is good just not great. And it is a limited option menu. I don’t think that everybody would like all of the options. But it is a nice casual place to go to. it just didn’t knock my socks off.

If you’re looking for top notch food in a laid back setting then come to DRIFT! I’m not sure why this place isn’t gleaming with more reviews. It is excellent and worth the money you’ll spend.Food/drinks: The drinks were good but the food steals the show. I was happy with the fish we had as it was perfectly seasoned and cooked. But the best thing was the cheesecake. It melted in my mouth! I will be back just for this delicacy.Atmosphere: This is a wonderful place with plenty of indoor, outdoor, and bar seating. It’s a more upscale relaxed place to go to with friends, family, or a date. It’s perfect for all three.Price: The prices here are high but you get delicious food so I can’t complain as the setting is also nice.Parking: There is limited street parking available in the area and I believe they also have another area to park at that’s valet.

Do not come to this restaurant if you are not their ideal looking customer!!!! I was staying at the opal hotel and visited this restaurant a bit throughout my stay. Yesterday on the last day of my trip we got breakfast and headed back to the hotel bar to get a drink before catching the flight. We sat outside at the lounge chairs and relaxed. Within minutes an employee came over to ask us to not “lounge” which would have been fine. After she went on to tell us that the restaurant was a fine dining restaurant (which was unnecessary, we were aware) and then to even tell us the dress code. Which in my opinion crossed a line, we are in our late 20s and had on traveling clothes.. she was profiling us and giving us a hard time for the way we looked. And if that wasn’t enough she told us we had to hide our To go food that we had gotten earlier that morning. All in all you could tell she profiled us, I guess judged we were just taking up space and tried to make us feel as uncomfortable as possible. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant to anyone and will for sure to be giving the hotel another chance either. Worst experience, employee are rude and prejudice!!
