The menu this place offers is one of the best for a Thai restaurant. I wanted to get everything and my wife and I even talked about making it the first restaurant we try and come back and order something else until we go through the whole menu. My wife got Kao Soi which is her favorite Thai dish and loved it. I got oxtail stew and it was unexpectedly beyond delicious. I think it’s the modern take that makes all the difference for a Thai restaurant. Definitely coming back for more especially in new location since it’s closer to us.

Rating: 4.5 stars (I only selected 5 because Google doesn’t offer half-stars).

We went to Eat Thai in North Boca recently. We had previously visited when it was located in Delray, and the new location on Federal Highway is clearly an upgrade. The restaurant is larger, with a separate bar area and outdoor seating, which will be especially nice during cooler Florida weather. The interior is simply decorated. Nothing fancy, but very clean and comfortable. The lighting is well balanced: not dark, not overly bright.

Our server was consistently friendly and attentive, always smiling when she checked on us. Service, like the food, was reliably good throughout the visit.

I ordered the Grilled Chicken Southern Style. I was warned that it was spicy and said that was fine. It was flavorful and nicely spiced. Probably too spicy for some, but perfect for me. The dish is straightforward: grilled chicken covered with a light brown, gravy-colored sauce that leans slightly sweet but remains well balanced. It’s good enough that I genuinely find myself thinking about it and craving it.

My girlfriend ordered the Branzino special. A whole deep-fried fish, common in many Thai restaurants, covered with a mildly sweet and slightly tangy sauce. This is the second time she’s ordered it from the specials, and it’s been excellent both times.

We also asked for a side of steamed vegetables and a side of stir-fried vegetables, even though they’re not listed on the menu. The kitchen accommodated the request without any issue, and both were fresh and well prepared.

I also tried the Grilled Double Mushroom Salad. It’s not a large salad and is primarily mushrooms, but they’re more exotic varieties rather than typical button mushrooms, and the dish is tasty.

At this point, if someone asked me for my favorite Thai restaurant in the Delray–North Boca area, Eat Thai would be my recommendation without hesitation.

Loved that the menu has more authentic items (takes on Thai street food gems and other regional favorites) without all the (zzzz)
usual suspects! Wonderful execution. Friendly staff. Cant wait to go back! Cocktail program is creative + topnotch too- will be visiting next time just to focus on that. They also beautiful outside garden for dining; would love experience next time and catch some live music!

Ordered soup, larb, coconut wrap, hot sake, side of sticky rice and side of jasmine rice. All items took forever to come out, both sides of rice were forgotten about until our last course and they completely forgot the sake. When we told the waiter we no longer wanted the sides of rice he threw a tantrum in Thai. When we got the bill they still had the nerve to charge us for hot sake lol. Super let down because my first time going there I liked it but this past second time was super disappointing.

The curries are excellent. Consistently some of the best I’ve ever had. The green curry with short rib is my favorite, but you cant go wrong with any of them

Delicious! Every dish was a medley of flavors, from the old fashion cocktail, to the ceviche, to the soft shell crab, fried branzino, rolled ice cream. Staff is great! I highly recommend ❤️❤️❤️

Very disappointed in the new location. Out of towners that frequented the previous location whenever in town, 3 or 4 times per year. The new location is much larger and they are definitely understaffed w/only one serving the large dining room on a Friday night. Ordered drinks and appetizers. Both took an extremely long time with drinks coming well after appetizers were finished. Coconut shrimp was extremely over cooked and the enoki mushroom was soggy. After 20 or so additional minutes, entree order was never taken despite alerting that we were ready to order. Asked for check and left. New and larger doesn't always mean better. I truly hope this was a unique situation.

One of Delray, now Boca’s, best thai restaurant. If not, THE best. This is a staple for unique but authentic thai food in the area.
Their crab fried rice is just superb specially with their inhouse chili sauce.
Speaking of chili sauce, they have a variety of entree that are really spicy so if you like spicy food check eathai out.
The staff is great and has always been great even when they were still in delray. The owner/chef is super friendly and checks in on his patrons regularly. He is very knowledgeable on all items on the menu. They did remove the rolled ice cream from their restaurant but they added a few dessert on the menu. This is one of those places where you get the most for your money. They’re not too expensive and the food is very well portioned.

Their new location adds what the former was lacking in ambiance, it’s amazing! They’ve added an outdoor area that is cozy and will be perfect for the cooler months. They’ve added branzino special was out of this world and should be a regular menu item. The green curry short ribs were to-die-for, and the basil minced chicken is my go-to favorite.
