My friend lives just down the road from this place so every time I stay I always demand a visit! This time we visited on four occasions, twice for breakfast and twice for lunch everything was super delicious, hot and plentiful as always. The staff are always welcoming and super friendly and I can’t fault the place. In fact if I lived in the USA I’d want to work here! I think my favourite meal was definitely the delicious breakfast pancakes with eggs and bacon.
great food in a fun setting. They are short staffed ( Like everyone) so be kind. relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
Fun 50's atmosphere. waitresses are friendly. Food is great and portions are ample. Also family friendly.
Why do restaurants who advertise corned beef and cabbage dinner for St Paddy's Day serve very thnly sliced corned beef that is obviuosly the corned beef they use for sandwiches? It is invariably dry and practically tasteless.
This is a fun, 50s themed restaurant. The menu, decor and servers uniforms will make you feel like you are on the set of Happy Days.We started with the $4 bloody marys, which were delicious. I had the club sandwich and my date had the roast beef. Both were yummy and stuffed with very fresh ingredients. The french fries were hot, crispy wedges of potato goodness.I regret being too full for a slice of pie, as the case was full, and each looked better than the next.Looking forward to my next trip here!
Loved it! Fun decor, great food and wonderful service! We’ll definitely be back
Elvis sandwich add bacon! my husband got the Philly and it looked amazing. pies and cakes are delicious too !
We went to Ellie's for a car show and decided to stay after for a bite to eat. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food is and the prices were very reasonable too! All the dishes have fun song related names which adds to the character of the place. I had the "Ruby-Will you be mine" reuben sandwich with fries that was a real treat, my son had the "One summer night" chicken finger dinner that he loved and my wife had mozzarella sticks which were also great. We will definitely be back!
Fun atmosphere and the food was delicious
Loved this place, the decor was priceless, the food was AWESOME ❣️ My turkey on a pita was freshly cooked off the bone turkey, swiss cheese with cranberry (my choice) with yummy fries. Hubby got fresh ground beef burger and the choice of sides (many choices) he choose the potato cake, which he loved and yup, just like his moms. ??The staff were so nice and dressed in the pink and 50’s style dresses. I really wanted the real milk shake.. but had to pass. Maybe when I go back, I won’t pass. And yes I’m going back before I leave Florida.Thank you ❣️❣️ to all staff and dinner.

Best place ever! Great food with so many choices and great staff! Being eating here for over 20 years!
Great place! 50’s inspired!!! Great eggcreams!
I had never been to a diner so tried it out when returning from lantana to Delray. It looks like old fashioned diner with counter and booths. Helpful waitress delivered iced water took the order. Partner had the meatloaf but thought it tasteless.I ordered a rack of ribs with latkes and she came back as they were off so had fries instead. They were the best bit as ribs were dry overcooked and tough and not good value at $26 so I will not be going back.
Lu Lu was really friendly, helpful and professional. Great venue and food too. Fair prices. pleasae pass on our thanks.
We had a large party of 15 with family visiting from out of town and could not find a place to take a reservation outside that also had vegan options. Ellie’s Diner took our reservation the night before and had our outdoor table ready when we arrived. It was perfect and with such a varied menu everyone could find something to get. Our waitress Sarah was very friendly and patient. She even split the check up 4 ways for the different families that were there. The vegan dish was pasta with red sauce mixed with spinach and mushrooms. They made this especially for her which was very nice. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought out a piece of chocolate cake. The best part was they didn’t rush us. Overall friendly service and a great place to have a large gathering outside with vegan options that’s not overly expensive! Thank you Elllie!
