What a great hidden place! They have great meats, great knishes, kugel, split pea and matzah ball soup, and so much more. I visit here every trip to Florida to stock up the fridge. The food is great, pretty high priced, but you pay for good quality food.

⤵🚷Unwelcoming place, the cashiers are rude and the manager blames the customers if you have issues with hairs or smells in their food , the might get away with treating the elderly horribly 😐the whole atmosphere of that place is dark and depressing, save yourself a headache and go elsewhere honestly you will thank me.,, horrible place !!!!!

Disgusting staff. Rude. Big mouths. Stay away. Once I bought a container of Kasha and I spit it out of my mouth as it was so spoiled. So I asked if something was fresh today and they wouldn't stop talking about me the whole time..a bunch of low life's. Won't ever go back.

If you’re a fan of true New York–style delis, this hidden gem in Delray off Atlantic and Military is worth every mile of the drive. It’s been around since the 90s, and you can feel the history and tradition the moment you walk in.

The star of the show here is without a doubt their tuna salad. I’ve tried tuna from Miami all the way through Broward and Palm Beach, and nothing compares. Every single time I’m at the counter ordering it, there are people in front of me and behind me doing the exact same thing—asking for the tuna. They go through pounds and pounds of it daily, and for good reason. I don’t know exactly what makes it so special, but it’s simply the best around—fresh, flavorful, and addictive.

Beyond the tuna, the deli has everything you’d hope for: knishes, hard salami, lox, nova, sable, whitefish, fresh salmon, and a full prepared food section that feels like a proper New York deli. Their soups are outstanding—all made fresh, sold refrigerated to take home and heat up yourself. Favorites include mushroom barley, chicken, and split pea (which is absolutely off the chain). They even offer low-sodium versions of their soups, which is a great touch. And don’t forget the pickles! They’re not in the deli case, but just off to the side, crisp and delicious at a great price.

What makes this market extra unique is the variety under one roof. You’ll find a little produce section, frozen goods, all kinds of chips, pastries, specialty foods, and even a jewelry shop that also makes keys and changes watch batteries. It’s truly a point-market style setup that has something for everyone.

The vibe here is old-school, the portions are generous, and the prices are fair. It’s not always packed, but the loyal locals know exactly what this place offers. For me, it’s all about the tuna salad—but once you’re here, you’ll definitely leave with much more.

Bottom line: if you love authentic deli food and especially tuna salad, this place is a must-visit. Five stars all the way.

I do not live in the area however whenever I am visiting I always make sure to stop at this market. I was there today and can assure you that prices are excellent, products are top shelf, the store is well stocked and immaculate. Everyone from the deli counter to the cashier are super friendly and ultra courteous. I highly recommend the Famous Market to everyone.
