Picture this…I drive all the way to this shop
west delray because I’ve heard good things about the bakery. I have a two minute tutorial of all the chocolate cakes available because my girlfriend wants chocolate cake for her birthday. We settle on the 7 layer chocolate cake. Perfect! I drive all the way home to East Delray/Boca and my girlfriend spits out the cake because it’s Vanilla cake! I drive all the way back to west Delray to get what I paid for and I was only offered a soft apology. Don’t care what the cake tastes like at this point, that’s not my definition of good customer service. Never going there again!

Love, love, love Grandmas especially when it’s not busy. Then we go over to the girls and get our strawberry milkshake. No table service. N/A

Stopped by this Bakery with my Family after visiting the cool zoo and ice cream shop next door, ice cream amazing and the zoo enjoyable. Back to this Bakery, ordered a few items..A Raspberry Tart, when I bit into it, really stale, we ordered a cherry Danish, not fresh at all and very stale, ordered a Cranberry Muffin absolutely disgusting and Stale.. None of the items we were able to finish. Disappointing since this is a Bakery. The Customer Service was lacking, definitely not a friendly environment, no one welcomed us nor ask if we needed anything. I had to ask and make it a better experience with my Family.

Everyone raved about the Lemoncello cake. This is truly an old time bakery with delicacies made with quality ingredients. Service was professional.
I do wish tipping was not automatically added 😕 though.

i discovered this place while picking up lunch and was pleasantly surprised to find it nearby, especially since i've been searching for a good tiramisu. i tried the sfogliatella, tiramisu, and eclair. the sfogliatella was excellent with a soft crisp outer layer and a flavorful center. the tiramisu had a nice taste, though the cream was a bit too firm and the ladyfingers were uneven, but overall still enjoyable. the eclair, however, was disappointing. the pastry was dense and after a few bites, i found pieces of eggshell in the filling, which made it difficult to finish. all in all, there are many options.

I’ve been looking for a rainbow cookie cake for my birthday for a couple of years now, and was really happy to find it. Tastes just like the cookie, I recommend eating it chilled right out of the fridge!

Gramma's Bakery in Delray Beach used to be the go-to spot for cake lovers—a treasure trove of sweet delights where you could always find the perfect cake for any occasion. Birthdays, holidays, or even those “just because I deserve cake” days—it had it all. Walking in felt like entering a dessert wonderland, with cases brimming with flavors, styles, and options that made choosing almost impossible (in the best way).

Lately, though, things have shifted. While the cakes they do offer are still as delicious and well-made as ever, the selection has become noticeably limited. The once-vibrant variety that made this bakery a local gem feels like it’s taken a step back. It’s a bit disappointing when you’re looking for that perfect, unique treat and realize the options are far fewer than before.

That said, Gramma's Bakery still holds onto its charm. The cakes they have are fresh, flavorful, and clearly baked with care—true to that homemade, “made with love” feel they’ve always been known for. The staff remains friendly, and the quality of their products hasn’t dropped, which keeps it worth a visit.

Here’s hoping they bring back the full, exciting collection that made them stand out in the first place. Gramma’s Bakery still has the potential to be that sweet haven we all loved, and with a little more variety, they could easily reclaim their crown as Delray Beach’s cake destination. 🍰
