My new favorite restaurant in all of south Florida. The food is spectacular! I had the grouper with the guava hollandaise sauce which was truly something special. My father had the fruit of the sea over pasta which he loved. The key lime pie was out of this world too! Great service and amazing place!

I had high expectations for this place, but unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed. The food was just mediocre, and it was pretty salty and heavy. Everyone in our group felt the same way. On the bright side, our server was friendly and helpful. However, considering the abundance of excellent restaurants in the Delray/Boca area, it's difficult to justify revisiting this one.

This is a small quaint restaurant. Very fresh seafood and many other options. Delightful service. In season for dinner you need a reservation. Lunch is not as busy. Miles & Dan

The food was delicious. The service was impeccable. The atmosphere is cozy but very noisy, making the evening difficult to enjoy.

Food: 5 stars Service: 4.5 stars Ambiance: 5 stars Ate there for the first time tonight, and it definitely won't be the last. We shared a calamari appetizer (delicious), then I had salmon and my son had the seafood medley. Both were just about perfect. For dessert, I had the crème brûlée, and he had the bread pudding, which was exquisite. There is a small, but carefully selected, wine list. This is what we call a "hole in the wall" restaurant (to me, that's part of the charm), with seating for maybe 40 people, so reservations are essential.

Fabulous fish! Many seafood options. Crab cake appetizer was delish too. Lovely and lively atmosphere. Will be back.

We went to J & J Seafood this evening. We had a 6:30 pm reservation, arrived at 6:35 pm because of traffic, and was promptly seated at 6:40 pm. No complaint as there was not an empty seat in the house. We were seat and our Server greeted us with menus & recited the Specials for the evening. It was too noisy to hear her name but her Server ID # was: 000032 (I think she is - unlike James Bond - 'licensed to Serve'). We starters we ordered the J & J Salad to split, and I ordered a glass of Raffino Pinot Grigio (excellent). My date ordered the Seafood Mixed Grill for her Entree and I ordered the Grouper Special with Shrimp. The wine was brought first followed quickly by the salad. Both wine and salad were excellent! Once our salad plates were cleared the Entrees arrived. The visual display & aroma were magnificent! We each shared a bit of our Entree, but as much as decorum found permissible. Again both were magnificent! For dessert she had a Cappuccino and I a regular coffee. We did 'spurge' and split a crème brûlée. The perfect ending for the perfect meal. While it was too noisy for a romantic interlude, it was fine for dining and didn't detract from the 5-Star Yelp Rating. FYI... This was my fourth time eating at J & J Seafood and it definitely will not be my last.

This is one of Delray Beach's, all-time, favorite, seafood and grill restaurants. Whether you are looking for the best cooked and freshest seafood around or your favorite high quality meat cooked just the way it should be, J&J Seafood Bar and Grill is the place to be. Family owned and long time Delray restaurant on Atlantic Avenue east of US1 hides this quaint gem ready to raise the spirits of any critic. The chef is one of a kind. This is the place to be for any special occasion, for a casual lazy day hang out, a lunch and a drink, or for a dinner that you and your guests will not forget. This restaurant is not just the food and outstanding staff, it is a must have Delray Beach experience for locals and tourists alike.

Fantastic but limited menu options.. but for a good reason.. when you go back, and you will, ask about the chef specials. John Hutchison IS A GENIUS in the kitchen and I'm also pretty sure he knows martial arts so that makes him a triple threat ( if you are asking what the third threat is he will willingly tell you .. and then he will...) Seriously though, his risotto's are phenomenal as well as his creative takes on the traditional buerre blanc. John and his staff are amazing and run a joint that is as inviting as it is quaint. I love this place and can't wait to come back!!!!!

This was the first time I have gone to this restaurant. Great location, just away from the main craziness of Delray being just east of Federal on Atlantic. The staff greeted us with a friendly smile and accommodated us to our request for outdoor seating. Our waitress suggested different options, and offered her suggestions on her favorites. The seafood was cooked perfectly. we started with a flash fried calamari, that was very nice,. It had a Asian dipping sauce. Although good, I would've loved a marinara, dipping sauce. I had for an entrée, the scallops and shrimp, with risotto and asparagus in a coconut curry sauce. My friend had the snapper and shrimp in a lobster champagne sauce. Both were excellent. The only complaint would have been, there was a bit too much sauce. It was kind of swimming in the sauce. Turned out that it soaked into the left over risotto and was perfect the next day! It's a small quaint place. I will be back again. I think they care about providing great food and service.
