I have eaten at this restaurant since they opened. I live literally across the street and I find it convenient. The atmosphere is good and it is aesthetically beautiful. However, Delray being the wonderful dog place that it is I showed up last night with my dog, which I've done 50 times before maybe more. I was encountered by this young woman by the name of Isabella and when I asked her for water for my dog when I was getting ready to order she says we don't do that we can't give your dog water!. Now every time I've eaten there I've been met with Grace and people have been kind and Goldie is a love and sweet, friendly dog. However, this woman boarded on being nasty and rude and has prompted me to write this review and it's something that it typically would never do. But the experience was so negative she was nasty to me and answered me in that manner in which it just got up the hair on my back. I told her to forget the order I got up and left with my dog. This is more about a heads up of how a restaurant can go from being wonderful and friendly and accommodating to being spoiled, by one individual who said that she was the restaurant manager, I hope this finds its way to be appropriate person at the top and they do whatever it has to be done to address Isabella's people skills or terminate her. I have seen my share of managers come and go and expect she will will be soon gone. Thanks for the opportunity to share me experience.

Beautiful restaurant, good service but food and drinks were average. Not worth the $40-50 an entree price, super overpriced.I rather go to hawkers. Won’t be back.

Great service — worth coming even if you have to take an early reservation. In fact, we preferred the quiet of an early dinner. Favorites were the crispy shrimp & pork rolls, tuna tartare, and shaken beef

We love Le Colonial. The food is always delicious and full of flavor, though it is definitely very rich—perfect for when you’re in the mood to indulge. Every visit is a great time, with a lively atmosphere and consistently great dishes. A go-to spot for a memorable meal and experience.

Beautiful atmosphere. We got 4 soda waters from the bar tap - not unopened bottles. We had four re-fills. We were charged 5.00 per drink - 20.00 for water.

One of my favorite restaurants in DB. I live local and have been to so many restaurants. This place has some of the most unique flavor combinations I have had. Nothing else like it on the Ave. Great vibe, beautiful place (indoor and outdoor), cool lounge, and a deep menu with lots of choices. Definitely will go back.

I went to restaurant last nite dec 19th n was told I can't eat inside with golf shorts on. I have been there 3 times before n sat inside with golf shorts on. Your restaurant isn't that fancy. Every restaurant in delray n boca allows shorts. Will never go back. Your mgt needs to figure out , it's florida. Good luck.

What an amazing evening. The green shrimp curry was delicious! The ceviche I didn’t care for it was way too much octopus, the spring rolls were dense and not very tasty, but that curry was a 10! Service was perfect. It’s a beautiful restaurant

I went for my mother’s birthday and the service was great and very friendly! The place itself is very nice too and much of the food was very good. However, my father ordered wine and they served him old wine which he could immediately tell and our waitress asked and confirmed it was from an old bottle and not a fresh glass, so he got a new glass which seemed like a fine solution. However, that glass of wine was one mixed from a new bottle and old bottle, but my father not trying to cause a fuss decided not to say anything to anyone until he started to feel the impact from it and got sick on the way home. You would think at such a nice restaurant where you’re paying $18 for a glass of wine not even from a super expensive wine or anything, that you would get better treatment than this and a nice fresh glass of wine, but unfortunately that was not the case. Additionally, some of the food was great, but some of it was pretty mediocre and the portion sizes were inconsistent, some dishes had an okay portion size, but the ginger glazed chicken clay pot for example was such a small portion for such a high price point, especially in a restaurant where you’re intended to share food with the table, there was barely any chicken in that dish to share! I’d much rather go across the street to Hawkers and pay less money for more food that’s just as good or even better. I won’t completely discredit this place because there is good service and food like the glazed pork ribs which were amazing, but overall I’d want a better experience for everyone, especially for my mom on her birthday and my dad since he got sick, so I will not be returning.

The food was very aromatic and well presented. I had the feeling that I was being sold to aggressively. They gave me the feeling that I was not ordering enough and being a cheapskate. I had a salad, a starter and a side that was designed for sharing. Also two glasses of expensive wine. Plenty of food and I think they should have been happy with the check size.
