Went I first went through the front door the place looked nice and kept and I seen a woman cleaning she stoped and started to take my order but she didn’t understand what I wanted I asked for fried goat and griot with brown rice she shook her head yes and went to the kitchen came out and asked again if I wanted brown rice and then proceeded to ask if I wanted black I was trying to tell her brown but for some reason she ignored it and went with black rice so I went with it because I’m patient and I never had black rice so I didn’t mind that she ignored my answer after she came out with the two plates and showed me it looked fairly decent and so I said it was fine the she proceeded to charge me 53 dollars for the two plates and a water even with the two plates being 20 each it would’ve been 40 plus the water which should have been 3 dollars plus some tax the total would of came out to at least 47 dollars total but it was some how 53 but at that point i just knew I wasn’t ever going to come back so I left it when I got home and ate the food I’m not going to lie and say the portions weren’t enough they definitely where but it didn’t taste as I expected with the meat being really dry and small in pieces I couldn’t even finish it and the rice just didn’t taste right I was disappointed.

Delightful server. We had 6 pm reservation and were seated right away.I had the best scallops I have ever eaten. ^6 healthy size scallops and cooked to perfection. Excellent drink and wine. Friends in my group had excellent chicken piccata and spaghetti and meatballs. Wonderful experience. thank you Olio.

The location is great- good parking and right off Atlantic, the decor is gorgeous! Large bathroom, lots of outdoor seating, perfect for March, bar seating in and outdoors, our server Lizzy was delightful and knowledgeable. The drinks were as expected. The food left a lot to be desired; think Red Lobster. Overcooked spaghetti, the fra diavolo tasted like tomato paste, there were several clam shells but no clams and the scallops were over cooked. The sea bass was well-prepared with a tasty coconut sauce, but plain rice and steamed vegetable without creative presentation or seasoning. This restaurant was billed as contemporary, which led me to expect different. Too many good restaurants in Delray to spend a night at this one.

Mussels: bland sauce. Not enough sauce. A bunch of unopened mussels. Seafood pasta: overcooked. At $42 don’t overlook it. Duck: served with rice. Not even a green to fill out the serving and compliment the meat. At $42 give me a Break. Crunchy roll: light on the tuna. I guess they are in cost saving mode. 3 of us sharing the dish as an app and it’s served with one set of chopsticks. Wine and cocktails mediocre and overpriced. Just bad. Do not go.

I went here New Years with my family. It was one of the worst experiences I have had at a restaurant. The waiter was rude, the food was cold, the ingredients were not fresh and the pappardelle with shrimp was water logged and lacking any flavor. I asked for the manager to come over and he neglected us. I spoke to the owner to let him know about the situation. He told me that he didn’t really care and that he is very rich and doesn’t need me. I guess it starts at the top. Stay away unless this is your last option.

Poorly executed and after telling waits that salad wasn’t good she brought out pieces of lettuce to “show” us what we ordered…hamburger was well overdone!! Not a good visit

Service was slow even though the place was almost empty. Food was average but prices were on the high side. Duck was dry and not served with any type of sauce., fish tacos were not very good and the person who ordered them only took a few bites and left the rest. Had to ask for bread but was not told it would cost $5.00. Mixed drinks were fair. Waste of money.

I ordered the duck that was on the menu the preparation was not as advertised and the final serving was extremely dry with a lack of sauce. This restaurant also does not serve any butter only margarine, I guess were they get the name olio. The service was also mediocre the wait staff was not attentive at all. I would give this venue another try but presently presently I will only rate it three out of five

This was a fabulous restaurant.. beautifully decorated and the food is outstanding! There were 6 in our party and each entrée was perfect! We only wished we were here longer so we could eat there again!

Do not recommend at all. The food was either very bland, slightly overcooked or over salted. Not a single thing we ordered was decent. I've had better food at a buffet in a grocery store. For the price I was expecting the food to be great and gourmet but this was anything but that. The server was rude the entire meal, just had a combative tone to her voice every time we were ordering. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and we chose not to complain at the restaurant even though all of us were uncomfortable with the waitresses treatment of the table. She even went so far to nudge several of us on the shoulder to get our attention to ask was we wanted when we paused to look at the menu. We didn't even take that long to give her the order. Seemed like we were just annoying her so she chose to be rude. I've never had that happen before in a restaurant. Will never return and will never recommend anyone to eat at this restaurant.

Mediocre food, typical in an average diner but more than double the price. No bread, nothing extra, quite a disappointing meal. So many better options in Delray.

Went on a Friday night with another couple. I'm somewhat an optimist so it's tough for me to write a negative review. I had the linguine with white clams -- hardly any clams in empty shells! Sauce was incredibly salty. Awful dish. My wife had french onion soup that had a lot of cheese but hardly any onions. Also she had a flatbread that was burnt on outside and mushy on inside. I just hope that this was a bad night for the chef! Wouldn't recommend....too many things went wrong with dishes.

We waited over 2 hours for our main course after having salads first. The waitress explained the kitchen is sooo backed up as most people were seated at the same time ( 7:30 PM on a Saturday evening). I asked how this is possible as don’t they stagger the seatings? She said it happens all the time. I replied you need a new manager!! After requesting to see the manager twice and 15 minutes later I hunted John, the manager down. What a nightmare! He was not apologetic nor did he even recognize that at 9:40 pm for a 7:30 reservation that not having our main course was an issue. He just said we are really busy. Seriously?? He was a zero and never should be in a managerial position. After all the waiting our dishes were finally served warm at best. None were hot and we just ate them and requested a quick check. I would never return there!

STAY AWAY!! With so many restaurants struggling for business right now, this place DOES NOT DESERVE YOURS. We had a 7pm reservation and didn't get out SALADS until 8:15pm. Our waitress was rude and condescending. When she could have apologized for the slow service, she had excuses for everything. Getting bread and water took 45 minutes. Someone at the table asked to taste 2 wines before choosing one. She said it was going to take a long time to get them. Olio prides itself on being a wine bar!!!! The restaurant wasn't very crowded and can't imagine this answer was worth losing the sale of a $20 glass of wine. The manager is AWFUL and should lose his job. Restaurants thrive on good customer service. He threw a temper tantrum when we told him how slow the service was and took no accountability not to mention apologize. I could go on but you get the point. This restaurant DOESN'T DESERVE YOUR BUSINESS. Help out those that do.
