Awful experience. Ordered takeout for my daughter’s 12th birthday. I pick up the food, drive home, and I realize there is no steak in the steak salad. I called the restaurant, briefly explained my issue and was placed on hold for 10 minutes. I drive up to the restaurant, ask to speak with the manager, and I was offered a free desert item - hard pass - couldn’t even get the steak salad comp’d!

I wouldn’t know about the food. Sat down in a virtually empty dining room for lunch. Waited almost 20 minutes and still no server, menu or glass of water. Wasted my 45 minutes for lunch had to leave and settle on Wendy’s drive through- thanks guys.

***Update, came back and had a great experience. The Proprietor made sure everything was perfect. Like any business there will be mistakes but not everyone takes the time to makes it right like Outback did. I will be coming back!
I used to eat at Out back a couple times a month now it's just a couple times a year and each time reminds me why I do not eat here anymore. HIGHER PRICES AND SMALLER PORTIONS. Pasta chicken and shrimp used to give you 6 shrimp with the chicken breast, now it's 4......They must think the customers are stupid. That's a great recipe for failure. Texas Roadhouse all the way from now on. Food better in quality and price.

Beware of Double Charges and Poor Customer Service!
On January 15, 2025, I visited Outback Steakhouse and used their table terminal to pay my bill. During the checkout process, the terminal froze, but I received a notification on my phone that the $100 ticket had been charged to my card. I immediately informed the manager, Akira, who spent quite a long time trying to figure out the issue while we waited at the table. After that, she came back and insisted the charge had not processed and told me I needed to pay again, stating that my money was "probably on the way back to me." She gave me her business card and assured me that if both charges came through, I could call her, and she would refund the double charge. Reluctantly, I made another payment for the ticket, including a second tip.
I later confirmed that both charges had posted to my account, so I reached out to the restaurant on January 17, 2025. I was told Akira was unavailable and would call me back, but I never received a follow-up.
I contacted the restaurant again the next morning and spoke with Akira, who said she needed to wait for another manager to process the refund and she would be in at noon. Despite her promise to call back, I received no response. Around 8:30 that evening, I followed up again, only to be told that Akira was busy, and another manager, Candace, spoke to me. Candace told me that a different manager—who allegedly had the “necessary codes” for refunds—wouldn’t be available until Sunday, and that I would be contacted.
As of Sunday, January 19, 2025, 6:46 PM, I still have not been contacted by anyone at the restaurant.
The lack of resolution, accountability, and communication from Outback Steakhouse has been incredibly frustrating. Waiting quite a long time just to be told I needed to pay again and then dealing with repeated misinformation and unprofessionalism is unacceptable. While mistakes can happen, this situation has been handled extremely poorly. I would strongly urge management to improve their training and responsiveness to customer issues.
Edited to add: thank you for the canned response, but I want the money that was stolen from me returned.
I love this place and come here at least 1x a month with my wife. We enjoy the unlimited soup an salad lunch special and a blooming onion. We always get the same server Cheryl T who is hands down the best server we have had at an outback. Our drinks are never empty, our table is always bussed, our food always comes out at the perfect timing. She is super friendly, helpful, attentive and the food is always on par. Definitely a 100 out of 100! Prices are fantastic, foods good, restaurant is clean and service is stellar!
