i absolutely cannot stand this location. every visit leaves me disappointed. the staff, especially the younger ones, are rarely friendly. are they treated poorly, or is it just the work culture here?
yesterday, i went for a simple order. the drive-thru had only one car ahead of me, and a young lady was there to take my order. typically, someone is stationed at the call box when the line is long, but that wasn’t the case. i specifically requested crispy (well-done) plantains. she only entered “plantains” on her tablet, so i repeated my request. she pretended to select “crispy” on the screen, as if i wouldn’t notice.
when i got to the pickup window, another woman handed me my order. i asked if the plantains were crispy and well-done, and she assured me they were. lies. i should’ve checked before leaving. they always lie at this location—they just want people to take their orders and go. customer satisfaction and retention clearly aren’t priorities here.
this establishment is horribly managed. just look at the picture—these plantains are nowhere near crispy or well-done..oh 1 tiny plantain was. for a bunch of caribbeans working there, i would think they would know exactly what i mean. or do i need to speak creole or french to get some acknowledgment or respect, which i could but i am not looking for special treatment from these people. just my order done right. i am paying for that. customer business keeps paychecks coming.
months ago, i visited at 11:30am and was served white rice that was old, hard, and dry. this is, without question, the worst pollo tropical i’ve ever been to. wtf.

The food tastes okay. The price to value ratio is bad. The atmosphere is absolutely horrendous! It is filthy the facility looks tired and worn. The people working the place look dirty and sloppy and disinterested. The ownership does not have to travel but one half of a mile to see how a proper fast casual establishment should look! Chic- a- fila serves predominantly chicken as well and look at the service and presentation of the staff , the facility, and the food. Shame on the ownership of this dump!

Tried the new chicken sandwich, and I wasn't impressed. The bun was cold and stiff. The chicken itself resembles McDonald's, neither of which compares to Chick-fil-A.

Picked up an online order in a sealed bag. Got home and found that the plantains I paid for were not there. Not worth going back and letting the other food get cold. This place needs better quality control on checking online orders. The food I did get was very good.
