I believe this shop is racist because, first of all, I ordered a hot chocolate that was absolutely disgusting. You really need to change the taste; it’s been the same for so long that it’s just plain awful. But that’s not the only reason I think this place is racist. I was casually sitting down when I started to notice something. I kept telling myself that I had only been there for about an hour, but everyone else around me was white. The lady who was serving me kept questioning me, asking why I was okay. I was still sitting there, and she kept asking me about it. It was as if she was trying to remind me that I wasn’t supposed to be there. She made more than an hour of service, and the only people there were white. It was clear that she was trying to make me feel uncomfortable.

The staff is not consistent with the Starbucks culture of kindness. Hopefully the corporate office sees this review and truly cares about the customer experience and makes some changes
This place was a zoo, maybe understaffed. They were doing the best they could, but waited 20 minutes for an Americana

I visit this Starbucks almost everyday. I walked in 1 day to ask for a cup of ice water because I was walking the ave....they told me I needed to make a purchase in order to get a cup of Ice water. Now, I could understand if I was just a random person, but where I visit the Starbucks very frequently. I thought that getting a cup of ice water on my day off of work. Would not be a big deal, but apparently you need to make a purchase for a cup of ice water which no Starbucks has ever done that to me. So that's enough for me to never visit the Starbucks ever again.

I have been going to Starbucks first in Seattle and then everywhere. Especially in Chicago in the mid 80s when the Windy City became one of the most successful expansions in your company history.
Unfortunately, now you’re closing stores and the reasons are fairly simple. It is not just because consumer taste have changed and Gen Z frequents alternative coffee shops that exploded in recent years in your vertical.
I would say maybe look at the staff to see if you’re hiring people that care about it literally being in your store serving your customers.
As a consumer Starbucks used to be a third location between Home and Work. It’s pretty clear to me why you guys have lost tens of billions of company evaluation and why this store is virtually empty verses the way you used to be.
You have staff that couldn’t care less that they are working at a Starbucks. I was just in your store in Delray Beach getting a tall mocha at 180° with whipped. I especially like it within they put their fingers on the hole where I drink my coffee when you put the lid on. NOT. I of course, always get another lid.
At one point Well, two is waiting for a coffee before visible employees were just yammering with each other, no one was making coffee and it was like four bots before the robots arrive.
In fact, I say get robots because they will at least be “programmed” to do the job of what you’re hiring people to do such as be friendly, be courteous, be happy.
I suggest a mystery shopper would be of use at the corner of Atlantic and 2nd Ave. in Delray Beach… the snow birds are coming.

I order Starbucks through the app all the time, especially when I travel. it usually finds the nearest location and makes pickup easy. On Saturday morning, Sept 6th, I placed an order as usual, but when I arrived at the Starbucks, they hadn’t received it. The barista checked and kindly explained that my order was actually sent to a store 32 minutes away.
Even though it was my mistake, she immediately reassured me, asked what I had ordered, and prepared it right there on the spot without charging me. I didn’t catch her name, but she was wearing a Formula 1 jacket that morning. She was super friendly, accommodating, and turned what could have been a frustrating experience into a really positive one.
Thank you for the great service. I truly appreciate it!

I used to come in before work to get my order and one of the lovely ladies who I forgot her name but she wears a hat started to recognize me. I came in on 8/6 after having lost my job across the street. You could tell I was super upset and crying. Could barely talk to order. The lovely other lady who I don't know her name I apologize noticed and said my drink was on her I just paid for the food I was getting. The guy who was making the drink noticed I was upset and sweetly wrote you are so loved feel better. The cashier delivered my drink to the table I was seeing at. Than I went and got my food the other hat lady gave me a hug. I never felt so much love from strangers in my life.

I want to give a huge shoutout to Eli, the store manager at the Delray Starbucks. Every time I come in, he brings such a positive, welcoming energy to the store. He goes above and beyond to make sure customers feel seen and taken care of, and it’s clear he genuinely cares about both the staff and guests. The store is always clean, efficient, and friendly—thanks in large part to his leadership. Eli is a true example of what great customer service looks like. Thank you for making each visit such a great experience!
