The brunch is delich! The outdoor gazebo we dined in was so elegant yet down to earth, relaxing while feeling fancy. The entire experience was heavenly. We have returned several times. Like most places this good it’s expensive but a true experience in a historical charming and purely delightful restaurant.

I know a lot of people come here for brunch, but we've primarily come here for the bed and breakfast. It's the perfect place for a staycation. If you want to visit Delray Beach, spend a few nights here, and then get around town. As you can see from other reviews, they have a great brunch, too! In my opinion, this is the place to stay during July 4th weekend because you can walk to the beach and watch the fireworks.
Rooms: Quaint rooms to relax in.
Walkability: Beach is right down the street.

I feel like the public has been hugely betrayed by Sundy House. They have had same post up, for 2 years, stating it is undergoing major renovations, when there is not any sign of construction at the place! I think they went bankrupt, or something else Shady, has actually taken place! It says to email them and they will get back to you! All, lies. Ive emailed this place more than once, radio silence! They should just be honest, and let everyone know, they are closed forever, or until the property is sold! This place is in the heart of Delray beach
I just drove by yesterday 9/9/23 and looked all around. There have been zero renovations. It’s been about 2 years since they closed for renovations and absolutely nothing has been done. They ,just posted a temporarily closed for renovations message on their website and have done zero. It’s not that I didn’t see it or missed something. I was there for about 20 mins looking around from all angles and point of views and ya, absolutely nothing. Why? I’m guessing there are no plans for renovation. They are just out of business. Not sure why they pretending there are renovations going on???

Great gardens to go along with a great meal.
Still, one of my favorite places in S Fla. I don't know if you'd call it "hidden," but it sure is a gem!

Excellent food, service and a magical garden to enjoy whole eating your meal.?
I've always been a big fan of the Sundy House because of the wonderful ambiance, gardens, food, and amazing Sunday brunch. So my husband and I decided to stay at the Sundy House Inn for a few days on a romantic getaway. We had a wonderful time until the last night when on our way to dinner we, inadvertently, forgot the room key in the room. Unaware of this, we stayed out past the closing time of the restaurant. When we realized we had no key to get into our room, we tried calling the main number, knocking on every window of the offices, etc. But no one was there. After about one hour trying to figure out what to do, we decided to walk to the Colony Hotel, about 10 minutes away, and get a room there for the night so as not to have to sleep under the intracoastal bridge. The manager at the Colony Hotel was shocked that Sundy House runs an inn and yet there is no overnight staff or emergency number to call to handle emergencies and contingencies. We are most likely not going to be the only people who forget their room key. The next day, we walked back and were able to get one of the cleaning staff to open our room. But there were no other employees there, although it was 9:30 a.m. I later called Sundy House to let them know that we ended up paying over $200 to stay at a different hotel because of what happened and, therefore, did not use our room. But they neither offered a refund nor an apology for not having contingency plans to handle these kinds of emergencies. Of course, it was our fault that we forgot our key but any other hotel would have at one employee on call overnight in case any emergency occurs in their inn. This is very disappointing, particularly since the Sundy House is an otherwise lovely place.

Excellent second to none service, food, and atmosphere of old Florida! Highly recommend.

I have been to The Sunday House before, and the quality of the Sunday brunch buffet has declined significantly. I was highly disappointed and unsatisfied with the experience. The eggs tasted rotten and were cold. The macaroni and cheese was so burnt you could smell it. The crab legs were terrible quality. There were no crab cakes the entire time we were there. Even the very little food that tasted okay was cold. It is not worth the price at all. I'm so sad to see it decline like this.
Beautiful atmosphere, but we were very disappointed by the (poorly lit) table we were seated at for dinner. We were celebrating a bday that we planned w/ staff in advance & it was completely overlooked. Meals were ok. Definitely not the experience we were hoping for.The gratuity is automatically added so be aware of that & it's definitely not kid friendly. Valet parking only too.
Not sure where to begin, we are a party of 4 that made reservations for a private cabana the Tuesday before the Saturday we planned to arrive, 5 days in advance. I explicitly asked the women on the phone if there is anything needed from me to guarantee the Cabana, as the nature of our event was private and special, she assured me we were all set. We arrive and the incredibly rude hostess who's name was Jeane, told us we cannot have the Cabana and proceeded to sit us at a 2 person table that was set for 4. We asked that if we really cannot have the cabana, to at least be seated at a proper table set for 4. We had even passed a 4 person table and asked to sit there, Gene stated it was intended for a party of 6 and needed to be left available if a party of 6 arrives. Not even 5 minutes after being seated at our mini table, the same hostess seats a party of 3 at the so called 6 person table...not even 5 minutes later.....as if to smack us in the face. We then sit and wait an hour in between appetizers and main courses. We were also told bread is by request, we requested it and it never arrived...our waitress told us at the end of our meal that the kitchen stopped making it and that's why she never brought it, as if we were supposed to know that. Once the mains arrive they are missing sides and 1 of the mains was completely undercooked to the point of being inedible. The same is always said about the Sunday house restaurant by us and those who have been, great food but terrible service. This will probably end up doing it for us. We will certainly never plan to go on a weekend, if we ever go again. Good luck if you choose to go.
I recently enjoyed a beautiful bachelorette brunch at the Sunday House in a gazebo and everything was absolutely beautiful! The service and managers go over and beyond to create a memorial experience. I’m vegan so they accommodated my requests and I enjoyed avocado toast, potatoes, and of course yummy mimosas! While we were there there was a wedding and bridal shower in different parts of the Sunday House and I can tell you nothing felt like we were on top of each other or intruding in each other’s events. It really is a large beautiful garden design to make your event no matter the occasion a serene time! Thank you Sunday House!
Too expensive and watch out they add the tip for you .
