Decided to go for Father's Day.used to love that place before new owner. The prices were high the food quality very low. Portion sizes were small. Orange juice was only half a cup full still having frozen orange juice in it. The service wasn't completely horrible. could have been way better. Definitely not going back there. wouldn't recommend anyone going there that wants a decent breakfast.
Kid-friendliness: Did not offer a booster seat. Food came out quick for my 3 year old but too quick. It seemed to be cold and old. Owners language is not kid appropriate either.
Wow this place used to be something decent back when an older women owned it. The food has gone downhill not just in quantity but quality to. Lots of yelling from the kitchen to the waitresses. I guess it's the manager or owner who walks around talking to people while he's drinking a bottle of beer. I asked my server if I can have a beer and she said they don't have a license to sell alcohol, pretty strange to see somebody drinking beer in a place where it's not allowed to be sold. I just noticed they had 20 health code violationsin February, that's a lot. No thanks, we have a family of 8, but we will never walk in that place again.
Went to this place three times, diarrhea twice, vomiting once, place has more health code violations even as soon as this past February, whoever is writing these reviews must work there, LOL if you want to get sick to your stomach walk behind the counter and stick your head in the kitchen, you'll puke
If you like classic American breakfast and lunch for really affordable pricing, then this is the spot to go. Don't expect anything crazy top quality but food is delicious. Liver and onions are good, biscuits and gravy are delicious, sandwiches are great and French toast is good. I'll give a 5 star because the workers are nice and the pricing is so good.
I must say they are stingy on their portions size!!!The ladies don’t greet every patronage the same, I sense a little racism in some of the ladies and they’ll treat you like what ever. I’m a regular here and if it wasn’t for the taste in the coffee and in the food I wouldn’t keep revisiting the place! I’ve had several food situations here like finding hair in my meal!!!I must be a real loyal person because despite the negative experience I keep returning for the coffee and the taste in food if it wasn’t for those to things, I wouldn’t return!!!! I guess it is what it is!!! People don’t understand that judging people by their nationality is killing America ?? and it doesn’t seems to ? stop!Older people need to learn how to Love everyone the same! ??☹️
Another Deltona gemThe service is very friendly. It's feels like a home away from home. I haven't had a dish that I did not like. Something as simple as Biscuits and gravy is taken to another level. If you visit Deltona this is a must go to place.
We ordered a cornbeef hash meal that came with 2 eggs I requested over-hard which means break yolk and fry until yolk is done. I was given runny eggs, the corn beef hash was odd tasting, hash browns were soggy and undercooked. It was inedible. My friend ordered biscuits and gravy, side of bacon and 2 eggs sunny side up. He was given raw eggs that he had to recook since the eggs clearly were not flipped to cook the top ever so slightly, the biscuits were very odd and gravy was flavorless and nasty. The only thing was edible was the bacon. I recommended eating else where because this is repulsive. Confused on how there was no one there and the food still turned out that horribly.
Took forever to get our food, one table came after we sat down, got their food, ate paid and left before we got ours. The waitress was too busy eating to offer us any drink refills or more coffee. Pancakes were burnt on the bottom and paper thin. Two stars because the atmosphere is nice.
Great spot to catch some good food and even better conversation! Everyone greets you with a smile and the pricing can’t be beat. The chicken sandwich and cold right out of the can Dr. Pepper was a quick lunch.
Country fried steak was good. It has a nice crunch even under the gravy. Toast needed to be toasted a little longer and a tad more butter. Scrambled eggs were decent. Sodas come from a can as an FYI. Limited seating. Straws were not wrapped and placed on the table which was a yuck factor for me.
Restaurantji Recommends
Cheap quality, noisy as heck, lots of yelling fromthe kitchen to the restaurant area,I saw a picture of what I wanted,3 pieces in the pic, when it came out there was batei 1 and a half, lol, I asked to speak to the manager but he or she never showed up. I work for the county and after looking up all the health code violations this place has had in the last year I've decided no thanks ?
So I didn’t actually read the reviews but trusted the overall rating of 4.1. Big mistake on my part. The food was not good and I will definitely never visit this restaurant again. Went for breakfast. The home fries were basically big chunks of bland potatoes…no seasoning, no onion, no green pepper. The grits were thick and lumpy. The pancakes were mushy in the middle, as if they were undercooked. The chicken fried steak was fried very, very hard and was dark and tough. I was very, very, very disappointed with this breakfast.
Best chicken sandwich I've had in a while. I got to talk with the chef and what seemed to be the owner. Everyone was nice and easygoing. I'll be coming back.Tea was spot on
We had the BEST experience here, the service was amazing the food was delicious! It was the perfect 1st place to stop to start our Vacation❤️
This little jem is tucked away but well known by locals. I stumbled on it and happy I did. Food is fantastic no matter what you order. Service is hometown family feeling and location is good. Lots of parking. A must try. They have corned beef hash and liver! Not too many places have them so I'm excited to know they are here.
