We sat outside and enjoyed a spectacular sunset from the porch. Our service was top-notch & we really had a great experience. My cocktail (Hugo Spritz) was delicious & even tho the wine-by-the-glass menu is not extensive....there is something for everyone. My pecan/grouper with potato cake & green beans was only outshined by the gigantic chocolate brownie dessert. I highly recommend this upscale & unique Destin gem.
Excellent food and excellent service. Candace is always helpful with her recommendations and lively personality, she always remembers us every year.
We had a great dinner in a beautiful setting on the quaint outdoor patio. The Wild Mushroom Pesto Risotto and Grouper Vince entrees were both outstanding. We also shared a side of Fried Brussels Sprouts with Balsamic Glaze and Bacon—delicious! Highly recommend and definitely looking forward to returning.
We sat without water for too long. Crab cakes were delicious! My wife had a caesar salad and added grilled chicken for her meal. The chicken was borderline undercooked and the flavor was not good. We didn't eat it. My fillet was delicious, but way undercooked. I ordered medium and most of it was rare. The server never came back to check on us so I ate most of it and left two large rare bites. Once he came he didn't say anything. I wasn't going to complain but I was hoping he would take the opportunity to revive himself. He offered to box her chicken and we told him it wasn't good. I think if we had a different server we would have had a better experience. It was just too many issues for us to want to go back. We canceled our other reservations we had there.
Got seated outside and the view was amazing! Server and host were attentive and polite. Food was just okay. Snapper itself was well seasoned but what it was served on was under seasoned. Shrimp grits - shrimp overcooked and Grits just lukewarm. The smoked tuna dip was good though 😅
Food was great and the experience was awesome. The chicken dish was well seasoned and the steak was great
Two of us greatly enjoyed crab cakes for starter with main courses of Shrimp and Grits as well as the Red snapper. All three were delicious. Wonderful view and excellent service. A great pleasure.
Our diner at the Beach Walk Cafe was the finest dinner experience we've had in quite a while and we come from Chicago, one of the country's bastions of fine dining. Everything about our dinner was perfect. The ambiance of the room, the exceptional service, an interesting wine menu with out of the ordinary selections, and the amazingly wonderful food. I wish we could have brought this restaurant back home with us. We'll be back the next time we are in Destin!!
Another great experience at the Beach Walk Cafe. The service was great and the food was delicious! We had the Yellowfin Tuna and Filet as well as a side of the corn Risotto.
The food was delicious. All 3 of our dishes had their own speciality. Get the snapper with risotto. To die for!

Bummer one: no valet, and with no easy parking we took the risk and parked on the curb outside the Inn. The building is very nice and clearly a more luxury type location, in line with my expectations, so it was odd there was no valet on a Saturday night. The entry was well appointed and comfortable. Bummer two: the restaurant manager (per his name tag) working the checkin provided the coldest welcome I would have expected from such a pretentious venue. It was like our reservation was interrupting his highly important duties at 5:35. Not a good first (or second) impression. Eder was a good server, heck I remember his name because of it. He was welcoming and tended to us well. The swordfish and tuna were both cooked properly with complementing sides. We skipped dessert to enjoy a different venue for that. The old fashioned was good but watered down due to too much ice. The price was in line with my expectation, and the food quality and portions were on par as well. Worth another try on a future trip to the area - personnel can change and the view will always be great.
First, I will say the food itself was excellent. I had the snapper and my husband had the blackened tuna. We had zero complaints about the meal at all, however, the overall experience was very disappointing. We made reservations a couple weeks in advance. We were married on the beach on a Thursday evening and wanted to go somewhere “special” for dinner afterwards. We asked to be seated outdoors with a good view, and stated that it was for a special occasion. We showed up for our reservation, and no one even acknowledged our presence for at LEAST 10 mins. It was very quiet and “stuffy”, not inviting at all. The host passed by several times and didn’t say a word. When we were finally acknowledged, we continued to wait for another 10-15 mins. I might also add, that the place did NOT look very busy. Our reservation was at 730, so somewhat later for a Thursday night. Finally, we were told that someone was still at the table they were going to give us, so they were going to seat us elsewhere (the larger deck). They sat us there, which honestly kind of felt like we were just being stuck in a corner. We had zero view of anything. Honestly, it was a huge let down. I had researched and asked for recommendations for nice, upscale restaurants for a special occasion. I picked this place from the other recommendations, because I felt it stood out and would have an amazing atmosphere. I’m kicking myself now, as I see a lot of reviews stating the same complaints. My suggestion is to learn some better social/customer service skills?? You’re lucky the food is actually decent, because everything else is severely lacking. We went to Marina Cafe the next night and had a much better experience as far as atmosphere and service, and the food was every bit as good.

Fish was very good. Brussel Sprouts were grossly under cooked. Waiter seemed to lose interest in our table once main course was served. Wanted an after dinner drink but was never asked. Have been here many times with very good experiences, tonite not so much.

What an amazing restaurant! We sat outside at sunset on a beautiful, windy night. The service was very friendly, the ambience perfection, and the food—we had the snapper and the grouper-the best we’ve had in Destin by a country mile

First off, the food was excellent and five star. Some of the best fine dining seafood I have had in my life. However, the overall customer service/front of house needs improvement. Made reservations months in advance and was not ready. Ended up just accepting other seating accommodations. Seems like this has been a problem in the past with other customer reviews. Overall service was good but not great. Had better personal service and the food was just as excellent at Marina Cafe located in the same area.
